Montreal signs first-round selection D Nicole Gosling

La Victoire de Montréal announced Friday the signing of first-round selection Nicole Gosling to a three-year contract.
The 23-year-old Ontario-born defenseman was the fourth overall pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft in June.
Gosling had 148 points (44 goals, 104 assists) in 170 career games at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.
“We were already very excited to see Nicole in action this season, and that feeling has only grown since we were able to spend time with her following the recent draft,” said Victoire general manager Daniele Sauvageau. “In addition to being very talented, she has great energy, sincere and contagious. Our fans will really appreciate her style of play.”
Gosling was named ECAC Defender of the Year in 2023-24 and made her second ECAC All-Star team for the second straight time in 2024-25 with 39 points in 40 games.
On the international stage, she won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2024 IIHF World Women’s Championship held in Utica, New York.
The Victory will open the 2025-26 PWHL regular season on November 23 in Boston. Montreal’s home opener will take place two days later against New York.
