Pair arrested in many Walgreens flights

Two men suspected in a series of Walgreens pharmacies flights across the region were arrested by Wauconda and Island Lake police.
Donovan K. White, 30, and Isaiah D. Garrett, 27, were arrested on Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. after the police arrested their Ford Fusion near a Lake Island Walgreens, Wauconda police announced.
According to the police, the car corresponded to the description of a vehicle involved in a flight of the pharmacy chain.
The agents said that they had stopped traffic and found more than $ 13,000 of stolen goods inside. The authorities think that the pair can be involved in a series of flights in the lake in the hills, Gurnee, Spring Grove, Geneva, Grayslake and Lake Villa, as well as those of the counties of Boone, Will and Kane.
‘I went too far’
A former Waukegan police officer facing charges of second degree murder for a 2020 fatal shooting was found guilty last month of official fault for hitting a man in a 2019 incident, Lake County prosecutors said.
Dante Salinas was found guilty of the accusation of misconduct following a trial. Justice George Strickland said Salinas not guilty for two other charges, including an aggravated battery.
The charges arise from an August 2019 incident in Waukegan where Salinas has repeatedly struck a man named Angel Salgado, reports.
According to the authorities, Salgado stood in the courtyard before the house of his parents-in-law during a party to celebrate a baptism. Salinas was on patrol and stopped his squad car at home to have a conversation with Salgado. The officer finally tried to hold Salgado in what the prosecutors said they were an inappropriate arrest.
Salinas struck Salgado two to three times in the face, breaking an orbital bone, prosecutors said. The judge agreed with prosecutors that the officer used an unreasonable amount of force, given the situation.
“Constitutional and safe police must be at the heart of any judicial system,” said state prosecutor Eric Rinehart. “We agree with the court when he declared that the police were there to protect the community and that his work is incredibly difficult. But this officer went too far. ”
Salinas will be sentenced on October 28. He also awaited the trial during the deadly shooting in 2020 from Marcellis Stinnette in Waukegan who occurred during a police pursuit. A date of trial has not yet been set in this case, according to the judicial archives.
Sexual assault arrest
A Chicago man faces crime accusations after having sexually extorted and assaulted a daughter of the county of Teen Lake and pushed her out of a moving vehicle, according to the Sheriff’s office.
The sheriff officers responded on September 1 to a report on the road near the road near Igleside. The police said that the girl had been pushed out of a moving vehicle and that she had been taken to hospital with injuries that were not deadly, police said.
The police said they determined that the daughter had been pushed by Montreal Mr. Montgomery, 22, from the West Sunnyside Avenue, Chicago block 3600.
Montgomery had met the teenager via social media earlier this year and went several times to Lake County to meet her, and finally put her in a sexual intercourse, the police said. Montgomery has obtained naked photos from the girl, whom he said that he would distribute unless she continues sex, according to the authorities.
On September 1, Montgomery picked up the girl, but angry when she pressed her to delete the photos. He then pushed it out of the car, the police said.
He was located and arrested on September 26 and reserved charges of sexual assault and shots and other charges, police said.
“The actions of this offender are despicable and serve as a brutal recall of the real dangers that children face on social networks. It is imperative that parents are very involved in terms of people with whom their children communicate online,” said sheriff John Idleburg.
