A unique horror suite United the Two Best Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Villains

Sometimes the stories behind the production of a film end up being more interesting than the film itself. This is certainly the case with the film Killer Bear 2020 “Grizzly II: Revenge”. This absolutely horrible sequel to the 1976 “Grizzly” semi-succrès (a flagrant scam “Jaws” who exchanges the film shark for a bear) had all the makeup of a killer B film, with a casting of young arrivals that would become an animated bear. Unfortunately, things were a little hacked. And by that, I mean that the executive producer Joseph Ford Proctor would have disappeared during the first day of filming in Hungary in 1983 (apparently, he ended up in prison?!), As much the co -producer Suzanne Csikos Nagy High and Dry without funding. She finally found a new financier and was able to finish the shooting, but the film was not in good shape to release, and it was not until 2020 that a “official cup” ended with “Grizzly II” saw the light of the day.

Although “Grizzly II” is abyssal (and not even in a fun way), there are a few things that some fans of pure and hard movies and television might want to check. First of all, there is the performances of “Blink-And-Youll-Miss-Them” by Laura Dern, Charlie Sheen and George Clooney (who had all started their career until they made the film). Second, he sort of gathered the biggest “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” bad guys of all time, or at least the people who played them. Yes, Louise Fletcher and Marc Alaimo, who played Kai Winn and Gul Dukat on “Deep Space Nine”, respectively, appear in the Macabre suite “Grizzly”.

Grizzly II was filmed before Deep Space Neuf but released long after

Because “Grizzly II” was filmed in 1983 but was released until 2020, it was technically manufactured before “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” never made its debut and released long after, which makes the “Deep Space New ‘aspect of Deep Nine’ a little blurred. In reality, Fletcher was already the laureate of an Oscar, having received an Oscars for the best actress Ratched in “One flew over the cuckoo’s nest”, but it was ready to assume less prestigious roles, as in “Exorcist II: The Heretic” and in Belgian comedy “” Mama Dracula. Timing.

In “Grizzly II”, Alaimo plays Luke, a fairly minor character who happens to be in Yellowstone (where the story takes place) while the killer of the film is free. Fletcher, on the other hand, plays the superintendent Eileene Draygon, which is essentially the version of the film by the Vaughn mayor of “Jaws” and wants to make a big concert in the park despite the said Killer Bear. It is wild to see them and know that it is a complete decade before “Deep Space Nine”, because apart from a prosthetic makeup, they really look alike.

Grizzly II can be bad, but these bad guys were so great

It is difficult to really recommend “Grizzly II” even if you are a fan of unconditional animal attack film or simply a fan of the actors who played there, because it is a really confusing mess of a film that still does not seem finished. No quantity of Alaimo or Fletcher will make this taste, but there are good news: they both appear in dozens of episodes of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and even play in some of them together in (one of the most hilarious twists and turns in the series). Kai Winn, the Bajorans religious leader, is Karen ultimate of “Star Trek” Galaxy, while Gul Dukat essentially answers the question “and if Hitler was absolutely convinced that he was a decent guy and that he had also owned by extraterrestrial demons?” This alone makes him among the most powerful and terrifying bad “Star Trek” of all time.

“Grizzly II” did not end up being as frightening, with its wobbly animatronics, its burst budget and its troubled production. But Alaimo and Fletcher? They had frightened on the lock.
