The Halloween gameplay trailer brings us back to Haddonfield and gives Michael Myers a new capacity
One of the most exciting announcements to get out of Gamescom last month was the news that a new video game based on the classic Slasher films series Halloween Our meeting comes next year, and we now have a word (via Gamefragger.com) that the game will be available for purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC from September 8, 2026.
Produced by the legendary John Carpenter, Halloween: the game is an asymmetrical furtive horror title published for PC and consoles which “will plunge players into the terrifying events of John Carpenter’s film in 1978”. It has also been confirmed that the game will present the movement of movement of the original Michael Myers himself, Nick Castle.
The game will include simple and multiplayer modes.
Players can choose to control one of Haddonfield’s residents trying to escape “The Boogeyman” or play as Myers himself while hunting the streets with deadly intentions.

A new gameplay trailer has now been published, giving us a look at images from the point of view of Myers and residents of Haddonfield who try to turn the tables on the killer. You may not be able to kill the Boogeyman, but you can remove it from the action … temporarily.
The teaser also reveals that Myers will display a new stealth capacity known as “jump of shape”, which will allow players to escape detection when they approach potential victims.
