Kieran Culkin joins the Hunger Games: Sunrise on harvest ‘as Caesar Flickerman

Freshly out of his Oscars victory for “A Real Pain”, Kieran Culkin joins the cast of “Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaging” as Caesar Flickerman, the full -minded showman that welcomes the murderous event that had already been played by Stanley Tucci.
He joined Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, McKenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang, Elle Fanning and Ralph Fiennes in the announced distribution of the film.
Located a quarter of a century before the events of the “Hunger Games” trilogy, “Sunrise on the Reaging” tells how Haymitch Abernathy, played by Zada in the next film, became the first competitor of the District 12 to win the Hunger Games. The film is based on the novel by Suzanne Collins released last March, which has already sold more than 1.5 million copies.
In the series, Caesar Flickerman serves as a public face of the Hunger Games for viewers of the Panem Capitol, interviewing the minor candidates of the deadly game of which only one of them will survive.
The cinematic adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on harvest will be published on November 20, 2026. Francis Lawrence will go from an adaptation of Billy Ray scenario. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson by Color Force will produce. Cameron Macconomy will be executive products.
Culkin obtained his role as a breakthrough in the successful “succession” television series, receiving an Emmy and Golden Globe for his work on the series as a Roman Roy Immature. He received his second Golden Globe and his first Oscars for his performance in “A Real Pain” by Jesse Eisenberg as David Kaplan, a charming but neurotic man who joined his tedious cousin during a trip to Poland after the death of their grandmother.
Currently, Culkin is in Broadway with Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr in a revival of “Glengarry Glen Ross”.
Meredith Wieck and Scott O’Brien supervise the Lionsgate project. Phil Strina negotiated the agreement for the studio. Culkin is represented by WME, Brookside Artist Management and Relevant.
