David Fry des Guardians struck in the face with a 99 -half ground during the coup attempt

Cleveland Guardians designated the striker David Fry underwent a broken nose and facial fractures on Tuesday when he was struck in the face by a quick 99 mi / h ball launched by the Detroit Tigers Tarik Skubal launcher in the progressive field of Ohio, reports the Associated Press.
“He’s going well. He’s in a good mood,” said goalkeeper director Stephen Vogt on Wednesday morning. “He is straight, he is alert.”
Guardians should provide a more detailed update on Fry’s condition later Wednesday.
During a sixth stick in the stick, Fry tried to play when the ball completely missed the bat and hit it in the nose and mouth. He fell on the ground and stayed there for several minutes while being treated by the medical staff.
Fry was finally able to walk towards a cart under his own power. The 2024 American League All-Star gave a thumb signal when he was driven from the field. The Guardians later said that Fry suffered tests and observations, perhaps overnight, on the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic.
“He is tested,” said Stephen Vogt, director of the Guardians, to journalists after the match. “He stayed aware all the time. Certainly a few injuries there, so I’m going to give you an update tomorrow on David.”
Vogt added: “We all think of Dave and his family right now. Obviously, we are happy that he is fine, but obviously it’s really a scary moment. [we’re] think of him.
As the incident took place, Skubal reacted with horror of the mound, immediately leaving the glove, removing his cap and covering his face with his hand. The Winner of the Cy Young Prix in the American League 2024 later told journalists that he was “really difficult” to see fry like that.
“I have already contacted him. I’m sure his phone explodes. I just want to make sure he’s going well,” said Skubal. “Obviously, it seemed to be well leaving the field and I hope it will remain like this.
“I sometimes know with these things that can change. So I hope he’s going well. I can’t wait to hope at one point tonight or [Wednesday] In the morning, receiving an SMS from him and making sure he is very good because there are things that are bigger than the game and the health of him is more important than a baseball match. “”
Cleveland won the 5-2 match to get tied with Detroit at the top of the central division of Al after having followed up to 15 years and less this summer.
