Rays, orioles to finish the series of the projectors season

Two teams entering the last week of disappointing seasons can be compatted with each other from Tuesday when the Baltimore Orioles welcome the Rays of Tampa Bay to start a series of three games.
Rays and Orioles hold the lower points of the American League East and have already been eliminated from the consideration of the playoffs. The two teams have six games to play.
The Rays (76-80) completed their home schedule by going 3-4 in a homestre against the Blue Jays of Toronto and the Red Sox in Boston. They said goodbye to their temporary home by going 41-40 in a minor league stadium after their dome-shaped stadium was damaged during an offshor hurricane.
“I really like guys and I appreciate the way they got used to it,” said Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash about his team.
Tuesday is the start of the last home series for the Orioles (73-83), which abandoned three of the four games at the New York Yankees on Monday. Baltimore at 37-41 at home.
Orioles have several young players who have been placed in a regular playing time, and there will be another week for some of them to acquire a major league experience. One of them is the Coyon Mayo corner player.
“I think he has shown signs of (growth),” said the acting director of Baltimore, Tony Mansolino. “I think that at some point, this kid (is) really, really hitting the big leagues in many ways. Everyone is developing at different rhythms.”
There is also a home race in the programming of Orioles. Jackson Holliday struck a 17 at the top of the team, followed by Gunnar Henderson (16), Colton Cowser (15) and Jordan Westburg (15).
The veteran championship player Brandon Lowe struck his 30th Home Run of the season on Sunday evening, marking the second time that he compiled at least as much.
“He’s such a good striker and I’m glad he was able to reach this round number,” said Cash.
Rays and Orioles have divided 10 meetings this season.
The right-hander Ryan Pepiot (11-11, 3.77 ERA) will start the shelves. He equaled his shortest release of the season when he lasted 1 2/3 rounds while abandoning four points to Blue Jays last Tuesday. This interrupted his sequence of three consecutive victories.

The Rays finish the season in Toronto at the head of Al East, while the Orioles visit the Yankees of second place later this week.
