Rosemont, ill. – The Big Ten conference announced a complete ventilation of its 180 male basketball conference games for the 2025-26 season, as revealed on the Big Ten network on Thursday. For the eighth consecutive year, each institution member of the Big Ten conference will contribute a conference calendar of 20 games.
The season of the Big Ten conference will start on Tuesday December 2, with three games while Iowa visits the state of Michigan, Rutgers welcomes Purdue and the USC goes to Oregon. In total, 18 conference games will be played between December 2 and 13 before the conference breaks until January 2026.
After the holidays, Big Ten Action will resume Friday January 2 with three games.
During the conference season, each member institution will play a 20 -game league calendar, facing three schools at home and outside, while meeting 14 teams once. Among the opponents of one game, member institutions will play seven at home and seven on the road.
The 29th male basketball tournament of the Big Ten Conference will be played from March 10 to 15, 2026 at the Chicago United Center, marking the first Big Ten tournament to present a field of 18 teams.
The tournament will open on Tuesday March 10 with a pair of matches with the number 15-18 series. The Wednesday calendar will include four competitions, because Tuesday winners will join Seeds 9-14 in action of the second round.
Seeds 5-8 will start the tournament game on Thursday, the first four heads that should open their seizures in the quarterfinals on Friday.
