Sophie Cunningham reacts for the first time on the accusation of a case with the CEO of Suns, Josh Bartelstein,

Last week, Indiana Sophie Cunningham fever was appointed in a trial brought by the director of security of Phoenix Suns, Gene Traylor, who alleges racial discrimination and negligence on the part of the franchise during the management of security problems.

In the costume, Traylor, which has been part of the team since 2013, alleges that the vice-president of safety and risk management Cornelius Craig told people that the CEO of Phoenix Suns and Mercury, Josh Bartelstein, had an affair with Sophie Cunningham, who at the time played for Mercury.

While Cunningham had been silent on the question, she broke her silence with a declaration published on X, formerly known as Twitter. In this document, she unequivocally denied allegations, while clearly indicating that her goal is to play winning basketball.

She wrote there, in part:

“I am deeply saddened by the recent false accusations made against me by Gene Traylor, someone I do not know and that I have never met. Allow me to be clear that his statements are false and extremely hurtful.”

After an electrifying start for the pre-season fever, Sophie Cunningham was sidelined for the opening match of the regular team against the Ciel de Chicago, as well as for the team’s conflict with Atlanta’s dream on Tuesday.

Although she progressed in her recovery, the team is wrong on the side of prudence as they seek to run during a WNBA championship.

Phoenix Suns, Mercury, condemn the trial which referred to Sophie Cunningham and CEO Josh Bartelstein having a matter

Before Sophie Cunningham published a declaration against the allegations according to which she and Josh Bartelstein had an affair, the franchise published a declaration condemning the trial, and calling Sheree Wright, one of the two lawyers representing Traylor, the man depositing the prosecution.

In this document, the franchise indicates the Wright file and the violations it would have been disciplined over the years.

In a statement published via ESPN, a spokesperson for Suns was cited:

“The Supreme Court of Arizona has twice disciplined the lawyer Sheree Wright for having committed many violations of the rules of professional conduct, and it is currently serving a two -year probation with the bar of the state of Arizona. …

“This time, Ms. Wright and her client made absurd accusations of misconduct surrounding the Phoenix Suns security department. These allegations are delusional and categorically false.”

It is the fourth time in the past seven months that a current or former employee of Suns has filed a complaint against the franchise, which has undergone a sale in 2022 after the former owner Robert Sarver used a racial term derogatory several times.
