Simons can start, while Kolo Muani should start on the bench while rivalizing with Richarlison and Dominic Solanke – the latter recovering from an ankle problem – for the role of the attacker. Yves Bissouma is also close to a return, but it is unlikely to enter the XI.
Tottenham remains without Kota Takai (foot), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), James Maddison (ACL) and Radu Dragusin (ACL), although encouraging, the latter has made progress in his rehabilitation.
For West Ham, the veteran goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski joined a short -term contract, while Aigor Julio arrived on loan from Brighton after refusing Crystal Palace.
Niclas Fullkrug (calf) and Luis Guilherme (shoulder) are both unavailable, while George Terre (ankle) is a doubt.
Callum Wilson is the most likely replacement of Fullkrug, although Potter can choose to move Bowen centrally and introduce Crysencio Summerville, who impressed the bench against the forest by granting a decisive pass and winning a late penalty.
