Man City should rekindle their interest in Tino Livramento from Newcastle

Manchester City is about to revive their interest in Tino Livramento, Pep Guardiola would have identified the right back from Newcastle United as a transfer priority following the departure of Kyle Walker.

According to the well connected scout Mick Brown, the 22 -year -old remains “near the summit” on the target list of the city as they intensify their efforts.

Man City passed a lot in the summer transfer window on players like Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders.

However, a new right back was also necessary in the team, but City failed to complete the signature of a player in this position.

Man City sent scouts to watch Tino Livramento

Scouts were reportedly sent to watch Livramento during the European U-21 U-21 U-21 championship campaign, where he played a decisive role.

Brown has provided Man City’s interest in Newcastle United’s right back.

“Livramento is a higher target for Man City,” He told Football Insider.

“They lost Kyle Walker against Burnley in summer because he exceeded his best now, but it does not seem that they have managed to replace him properly.

“A new right back was one of the priorities for them in the transfer window, but they did not do so.

“From what I hear, Livramento was one of the names at the top of their list.

“He is tall, he can attack, he is very physical and he is fast, he has a lot of good assets in his game.

“So for City, it is not surprising that he is on their radar and he is a player whom they have been planning for some time to solve the problems they have encountered in this position.”

Despite Manchester City’s interests and potentially important financial offers up to 65 million pounds sterling, Newcastle United remains determined to keep their precious property.

Interior sources, via Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, say that even such an offer may not influence the club, the defender considered as an integral part of the long -term vision of Eddie Howe.

To secure its future, Newcastle is preparing a new six-year contract to raise Livramento in their high-school.

For City, Livramento represents an ideal long -term solution, age, local status and defensive reliability, everything is something that Guardiola would prefer to have in his team.

However, Newcastle’s repression and the attractive contract plan posed before Livramento shows that any decision will be far from simple.
