Tiny Vinyl is a new Pochable record format for the age of Spotify

But for the moment, the big push is with the launch to come with Target, and so far, existing collectors are curious.

“I absolutely love these 4 -inch records,” a passionate recorder of Arkansas told Arstina Stroven. “I think they will be super fun to collect and bring all the nostalgia for singles from the 80s and 90 cassettes,” she said, noting that she already had more than 1,500 records in her collection.

“It’s good to have another format that still works on my plate. Stroven said.

“I have already pre -ordered two tiny vinyl records,” said Fred Whitacre Jr, teacher, drummer and disc collector from Warren, Ohio. “But, I don’t think it’s something that I am going to dive very strongly. I always like when the vinyl pressures try something new, but for me, I’m probably going to stick to LP and 45.”

For the little vinyl, this is really the beginning. “This launch is motivated by Target,” noted Kohler. “It is mainly because of my history in the toys industry. When I spoke to the Target management team, they said:” You know, try to do something here, and we will help organize labels. “”

Target already has relations with the main record companies, which have provided the company with exclusive album variants in the past. “Really, the labels provide what the target requires, and we provide labels,” Kohler said.

And all of this is to help establish a tiny vinyl as a standard format. “We just wanted to roll the ball and make sure it is a success,” added Kohler. “We were contacted by Barnes and Noble, and Walmart, and Best Buy, and other retailers. But Target jumped with both feet. “
