Man United is planning a January move for Romeo Lavia de Chelsea

Manchester United could rekindle their search for midfielders in January, journalist Miguel Delaney suggesting that Romeo Lavia de Chelsea has become a potential target.
The Red Devils endured a frustrating transfer window near the summer, not having won a midfielder despite a clear intention of the club’s hierarchy.
United sued Carlos Baleba from Brighton, but the negotiations collapsed at the end of the window, leaving Ruben Amorim without the option of additional midfielder they hoped.
The day of the deadline, the only notable addition of United came in the form of the goalkeeper Senne Lammens, signed by Royal Antwerp in an agreement worth 21 million euros.
With continuous uncertainty about the form of their current guards, a new goalkeeper was the club’s priority in the last stages of the transfer window.
Man United is always looking for a new midfielder
However, the midfielder remains an urgent concern. Amorim did not hide his desire to strengthen in this department, and Delaney, writing in his newsletter of interior football, noted that the behind the scenes are already turning around January.
He explained:
“The end of the window of course means the start of speculation for January, mainly due to the company that has not been done.
“Manchester United always wants a midfielder. Expect that United come back for Carlos Baleba from Brighton, although some initiates wondered if an agreement could be concluded for Romeo Lavia de Chelsea.”
Romeo Lavia in Old Trafford?

Lavia, who joined Chelsea de Southampton in 2023, remains very well evaluated despite a difficult spell and affected by injuries at Stamford Bridge.
Brighton’s Baleba remains firmly on the radar, but the possibility of a movement for Lavia would represent a daring position of the Red Devils, in particular the reluctance of Chelsea to strengthen a direct rival.
Many may depend on how the Belgian season takes place in western London, but its name is firmly in the conversation while United is planning its next steps.
