Newcastle and Sunderland failed with the late move for Matthis Abline

Sunderland failed with a late move to sign the Nantes Matthis Abline striker on the day of the deadline.

The western French western reports of France via Emmanuel Merceron indicate that Sunderland and Newcastle United have shown interest in the 22 -year -old striker in the last hours of the transfer window. However, none of the club has submitted an official offer, and this decision has never really materialized.

Meanwhile, Newcastle also needed to attack depth. They managed to sign two quality strikers before the window closed, but the young Frenchman would also have been a superb investment.
