Tottenham would have discussed Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, as a new potential transfer target in the past 24 hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, there is now the interest of the Spurs in Semeryo because they consider a number of new targets of midfielders attacked.
It was a frustrating summer for Tottenham because he looked at a point as if they were very close to signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.
As BBC Sport reported and others reported, however, this led to the forest considering legal action for the way the Spurs addressed the agreement, and it never materialized.
Tottenham then missed Ebelechi Eze, who has just joined Arsenal.
Tottenham shows the interest in the transfer of Antoine Semenyo, says Fabrizio Romano
Watch Romano’s video below because it now reports that THFC is interested in Semenyo…
“They (Tottenham) called the previous days for Xavi Simons, for example, but the player already agrees with Chelsea. So let’s see what’s going on,” said Romano.
“Morgan Rogers is a dream target, but for the moment, Villa does not want to sell. It therefore seems very difficult in the last 24 to 48 hours.
“Tottenham also made some calls to other players. They wanted to understand the situation of Lucas Paqueta in West Ham. Also a player they appreciate and they know very well, and were already a target, but now obviously late on the market, so it’s going to be difficult is Semenyo in Bournemouth – another name mentioned internally in Tottenham in the past 24 hours.”
Antoine Semenyo looks ready for a big transfer
Semenyo shone in Bournemouth last season and also took a good start for this campaign, so it is easy to imagine shining in a larger club.
Sky Sports has also already linked Ghana International to people like Liverpool and Manchester United, but so far it has not taken a step.
It will be interesting to see if the Spurs now intensify their interest in Semenyo in the last days of the window.
