Craig Breslow adds upgrades to the list

The Yankees series is the largest between rivals at the end of the season since 2021.
The list needed a refreshment and over a three -day period, Breslow made four modifications. It started on Tuesday when Lefthander Jovani Morán was optionized and replaced by Brennan Bernardino.
It was an upgrade. Bernardino was a reliable option in the last three season and was only working to get a little time after appearing in 47 of the first 108 games.
“I feel good,” said Bernardino, who launched a perfect round Tuesday against the Orioles. “Time, there was good for me.”
The SOX finally dropped the right -hander in difficulty Isaiah Campbell on Wednesday and replaced it with the right -hander Richard Fitts, who has an average deserved race of 3.78 in 14 departures for the SOX in the last two seasons.
Fitts should be able to give the multiple sleeves of the enclosure of the enclosures of the lifts, which they really need with Walker Buehler and Dustin can rotate.
Fitts also offers an option if the SOXs decide to delete Buehler from the rotation. But Buehler has an MPM of 3.77 in his last eight departures and the SOX won five of these games.
The SOX then designated the inner field player Abraham Toro for assignment Thursday. It was late at least a few days. David Hamilton was recalled to take his place on the list.
Toro was a solid contributor through the break of the stars as part of a peloton with the first goal with Romy Gonzalez. But a .488 OPS in 25 games since the break with defensive problems has forced a change.
“I think Toro did an incredible job for us. We are not there without him,” said manager Alex Cora.
He is not wrong. Toro and Gonzalez helped keep the SOX afloat when Triston Casas was lost for the season in May. But his long crisis and defensive problems could not be ignored much longer.
With the peloton of Nathaniel Lowe and Gonzalez at the first goal, Hamilton can play the second goal and allow the Red Sox to use Ceddanne Rafaela where he belongs to the central field.
Until Wednesday, Rafaela had an OPS of .796 in 383 appearances as a central field player and a .325 OPS in 93 appearances with the second goal – all since July 12.
Just leave it in the central field.
The fourth blow was not the one that the SOX wanted to do. But the right defender player, Wilyer Abreu, made no progress with his tense calf and the decision was made Thursday to put him on the injured list and call Jhostynxon Garcia, 22, triple to Worcester.
Garcia made a last -minute dashboard from Worcester in New York and arrived just after 6 p.m.
Garcia – whose first name is pronounced JOES -TIN -SON – was given n ° 51. It does not suggest that it will be too long.
Rob Refsnyder is eligible to get out of the list of injured on Monday in Baltimore. His left oblique tension seems to improve according to his being with the team here and the training on the field he made before the match on Thursday.
Cora has spoken out how the list takes care of all movements.
“I think we were more dynamic,” he said. “We will be able to continue mixing and matching … The fresh arms and the enclosure of the lifts make a difference.
“We crossed a section there that we had to do it because we were not flexible in terms of list. But now we are. “
Is that enough? It must have been with the deadline for trade for a long time.
