Thunderbolts * First on Disney + next week, and to mark The film acclaimed by criticism Streaming debut, we recently met Geraldine Viswanathan (Car dolls) to discuss his role as Mel.
The character is widely considered as Melissa Gold, one of the founding members of the Thunderbolts in the comics, which many of you will know the best under the name of Songbird. In Thunderbolts *Mel is the assistant of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and plays a crucial role in avoiding the director of the CIA to meet a rapid disappearance in the hands of the sentry.
We interviewed Viswanathan about speculation surrounding his character – Mel wears an observation necklace in the song in the film, an obvious index for Melissa Gold – and what was her reaction when she learned that the counterpart of Mel’s comic strip is a costume well -being.
“It was very exciting. The whole process at the beginning was so elusive,” The actor explained. “I had a zoom with Jake [Schreier]And he had to explain the film to me, because I could not read it before signing. [He explained] My role and its bow, and the role in the film itself, and this deeper connection with the MCU. It was so exciting. “”
Viswanathan added, “Then you just take this jump of faith, and now to be on the other side of this process, and to see how fun it is, this interaction with the fans base, it’s really so unique and exciting.”
We later asked if the Thunderbolts * Star is impatient to put the Songbird costume on the whole line, and Viswanathan East open to the possibility.
“I mean, I would like to see her follow this path, and given the full evolution [and] Marvel treatment, “ she confirmed. “I think she deserves it, and there a lot to have fun and play with it. I think she has more to do, you know?”

We asked Viswanathan, and after a break, she answered, “We will see! I am not sure, but as Julie and I said, we are available, and we would be happy to do it.”
We will see what is happening, because it would be logical that Val and Mel appear in the film for at least one scene or two.
