Mariners and Logan Gilbert seek to extend the sequence of victories against Orioles

The sailors control their fate for the first time in 2 1/2 months.

On Wednesday, the navy seeks to extend their sequence of victories at nine games. They won nine consecutive games only in their history. Their best victories sequences are 15 (2001) and 14 (2022). Their best victories sequence last year was four, which they did seven times.

The sequence of Mariners in progress made them go back to the top of the Al West for the first time since June 2, although they share this place with the Astros at the moment. Astros play the Red Sox at 4:10 p.m. PDT. The navies could remain alone at the end of the evening.

There were only seven sequences of nine or more MLB victories this season. The Brewers spent their current sequence at 12 games on Wednesday afternoon. They achieved a sequence of 11 games in July (which the navies won with a 1-0 victory in Seattle) and a sequence of eight games in May. Good work, brewers.

Logan Gilbert starts for the navy on Wednesday. His peripherals are the best they have ever been and suggest that he is one of the best baseball departure launchers. Its 35.1% withdrawal rate leads the MLB, and its oscillating typing rate of 16.0% is second behind Tarik Skubal. It also ranks in the top 10 by FIP and Xera. That said, Gilbert has not succeeded seven rounds since the opening day; He launched seven rounds or more 10 times last season.

Lefty Trevor Rogers takes the mound for the Orioles and will face sailors “there is a left -handed starter”. Rogers currently leads the MLB to the era (1.44) but launched only 62.1 rounds in 2025. Its peripherals do not seem so beautiful, and it has had a favorable chance to avoid circuits and stranding runners. Sound .212 authorized babip is also the lowest MLB at the moment.
