9 Marvel and DC films which once had different ends (and what was exactly changed)

When you think of films with alternative purposes, we would guess the tastes Blade runner,, I am legendand even Terminator 2: Judgment Day quickly come to mind.

Although the studios occasionally test contrasting ends, it is rare, and this helps any film to have a final conclusion set in stone when the cameras start to roll. For each of the adaptations of Marvel and DC comics listed here, however, things once seemed very different from what we finally saw in the rooms.

Whether it is studio interference, last -minute reshuffles or deleted plans for future stories, each of these blockbusters has to finish an unrecognizable note.

9. Suicide Squad – Joker vs Task Force X

The filmmaker David Ayer and many DCEU fans continue to campaign for the Discovery and DC studios of Warner Bros. Suicide team. We know that Warner Bros. brought many changes to his vision, including a complete overhaul of the final act of the film.

In the original and much darker version of the film, the Joker threw Harley Quinn of this helicopter in an attempt to kill her to be faithful to the X -operation X. The Hopper has always crushed, which led to the Clown Prince of Crime Returning – with a burned face – in the final act to destroy the team and take Harley.

She had rejected her and chose her new teammates on their abusive relationship, although the Joker had to find her in Belle Reve, with the involvement he intended to kidnap or kill her.

8. The Amazing Spider -Man 2 – Richard Parker lives

Whole sub -intrigues of the two The Amazing Spider-Man And The Amazing Spider-Man 2 found himself on the floor of the cut room, explaining why we could never see “Story Untold” largely touted in this 2012 film.

With The Amazing Spider-Man 3 To turn around a concocion that could resuscitate the dead, we assume that Richard was going to be part of the Battle of Peter with the Green Goblin And The resurrection of Gwen Stacy. Alas, we have never been able to see this franchise completely jumping the shark.

7. Ant -man and the wasp: Quantumania – Kang escapes

In a previous cut of Ant-man and the wasp: QuantumaniaScott Lang and Hope Van Dyne were going to put on new high -tech costumes for the final battle with Kang the Conqueror.

Just as in the theatrical cup, Janet, Hank, Cassie, and hope that all returned to earth, only for Scott to be confronted with a revengeful kang and damaged by the battle. They are fighting, but the villain escapes even after the wasp returns to give a hand to Ant-Man. With this, they remained trapped in the quantum kingdom like Kang and Janet before them.

Kang is then free to conquer the multiverse, but we would have seen Cassie execute countless simulations on several computers, the eyes extending after having apparently followed Scott and Hope Down. This end was clearly supposed to lead directly to Avengers: the Kang dynasty.

6. The Wolverine – Classic Wolverine costume

Wolverine ends with LoganNow handling bone claws, returning to the United States alongside Yukio. However, an alternative end saw his hand a suitcase which, once opened, revealed the character’s brown and yellow comic strip suit.

The filmmaker James Mangold decided to cut the scene because he did not want to force the one who directed a possible suite to include this costume. Ironically, he ended up taking charge of this follow -up with LoganAlthough there was no sign of nothing resembling this costume in one or the other X-Men: days of past future Or X-Men: Apocalypse.

It would have been an impressive teasing and an excellent way to prepare the terrain so that Wolverine finally kisses her comic strip roots. On the positive side, do not recover it in 2013 Deadpool and Wolverine All the sweetest.

5. Iron Man 3 – Trevor Slattery dies

Marvel Studios has upset many fans with Iron Man 3A film that ended by revealing Mandarin was, in fact, an actor called Trevor Slattery. Used by the “real” Mandarin, Aldrich Killian de Aim, he was a stocation, and many did not appreciate such a comic turn on the emblematic villain.

In a scene removed from the closing moments of the Threequel, we were going to see Slattery once inject with “extremis” and then explode. It was a final and strange end for the character who was perhaps better left on the floor of the cut room.

Not going down this route, Marvel Studios was able to bring Trevor for the sole “All Hail the King” and even Shang-chi and the legend of the ten rings (Where we met the real Mandarin, Wenwu). He will even play a support role in Dies Later this year.

4. Wonders – The heroes combine to save the day

Wonders failed to strike an agreement with the fans, explaining why he fell as the greater disappointment of the Marvel Studios box office to date. Love or hate it, however, the end has certainly left us a lot to discuss.

In the Captain Marvel The moments of closing the suite, Monica Rambeau used her powers to close a tear in reality, brandishing himself in a parallel universe inhabited by the X-Men. However, an earlier version of the film saw Photon receiving a hand from Carol Danvers and Mrs. Marvel.

What we do not know – at least not when we write this – is whether it means that Monica was not going to always go to another reality. In fact, it is possible that there has not always been a multifiverse element in the future, the idea being that the three heroes unite and save the universe without laying the foundations for a future history.

3. Avengers: Age of Ultron – The beginnings of Captain Marvel

Avengers: Age of Ultron was always going to end with Captain America and Black Widow assembling a new team of the most powerful Heroes on the earth. However, Joss Whedon hoped to present at least one major character of comics in this sequence.

It was Captain Marvel, and the replacement above was used while Whedon tried to understand who could play it. Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige had other ideas, and then replaced Carol Danvers by the scarlet witch (to the chagrin of the filmmaker).

In many ways, it would have been strange for Captain Marvel to make his debut here, because it meant throwing it in the mixture without explanation or origin of origin. However, we cannot prevent ourselves from asking ourselves how different the MCU would have seemed if it had happened.

2. Flash – Crisis on infinite land

The flash I was taken in a number of different diets in Warner Bros., which led to the end of its end more than once. The first idea was that Batman by Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl present themselves in the DCEU, confronting a shocked Barry Allen.

After this cliffhanger, a post-key scene would have seen Bruce Wayne by Ben Affleck plead with the Scarlet Speedster for help, preparing the way to Crisis on infinite land. The possible return of Henry Cavill led Henry Cavill to be added to the scene with Batman and Supergirl, with only the original Bruce now.

When DC Studios got involved, everything has changed and the two multi -life heroes died. As for the end, we watched Barry meet the Cupy Crusader of George Clooney in a world that we will almost never return again. What a mess.

1. Captain America: Brave New World – Red Hulk’s Return

Captain America: Brave New World was put on the test, with an extensive reshuffle changing fundamentally almost everything we ended up seeing on the screen. This included the final scene of the film’s battle and the post-key scene.

According to several reports, Sam Wilson originally would be joined by Isaiah Bradley and Sabra in this fight with Red Hulk. The confrontation was going to conclude with the president’s apparent disappearance, only for a dart to reveal that he was always a hulk and keeping an eye on Betty Ross.

Marvel Studios even turned the funeral of “Thunderbolt” Ross. In the end, the decision was made to ensure that the commander -in -chief was responsible for his actions, and he is now locked in the raft alongside the leader. Meh.
