Andy scares Derek with his improvement
After getting his highest scores last week, Andy said he felt like “Mariah Carey” with the groups of fans (aka “Fandies”) cheering him on.
Andy performed as a priest for his Paso Doble on Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67: I. Allegro con brio”, in a nod to his role in Horror movie.
The performance opened with a black and white sequence, before his partner Emma Slater joined him for a dramatic choreography.
Carrie Ann told him that he was “getting better” every week and that his posture had improved. She gave him a “general grade” for using his legs more.
Derek broke his “6” of padel and praised his commitment.
Cheryl called it “the heart of the series”. She told him that as he moved forward, he should feel “tension” in his fingertips with his extension.
Bruno said it “really captured” a cult classic horror vibe.

Jordan adds a symbolic accessory to his routine
8 minutes ago
Reflecting on her Rumba last week, which earned her 10s, Jordan Chiles said her next goal is to be at the top “by herself.”
She opened up about the “depressed” state she was in during her gymnastics career and explained how she connected with the song she’s dancing to this week: Sia’s “Elastic Heart.”
For their contemporary performance, she incorporated a harness at the start of their dance while her partner Ezra Sosa spun her for a power opening. She also showed off her gymnastics skills during this show. Afterwards, Alfonso said that “the whole ballroom was on its feet.”
Bruno told her “nothing can hold her back, because you believe”.
Carrie Ann loved “exploring” new moves, but said she sometimes “struggled” with the prop.
Derek praised the athleticism, but said the execution was not “fully realized.”
Cheryl said she wanted to see “their trust and connection through your emotion” to take their partnership to “another level.”
Jordan explained that the rope symbolized that “needing help is good” and “being able to have the rope as a third person to do whatever I need to do is good.” She added: “Depression is really hard; you’re still loved.”

Whitney gets emotional before her scary performance
27 minutes ago
Whitney broke down before her prom, saying she was “very overwhelmed” by her life and the pressures of the show, after scoring the season’s top 10 last week.
Whitney explained that she feels like she “has to say yes to everything” because she “don’t know how long the spotlight will last.” But she recognized she had to say no as the competition got tougher.
After letting out a big “therapeutic” cry, she was ready for her jazz performance of Green Day’s “Brain Stew.”
Wearing matching striped outfits and dark eye makeup, she put on an electric performance with partner Mark Ballas.
Cheryl told them she was “impressed” with their partnership, as well as Mark’s choreography. She mentioned that they need to “watch their timing” and their peripheral vision.
Bruno praised them for a “breathtaking” performance, mixed with “so many jazz techniques”.
Carrie Ann agreed with Cheryl that they were “slightly” out of sync, but encouraged Whitney to allow herself to make mistakes so she could “create magic.”
Derek said it was “no tricks, just treats.” He said that because the difficulty was so high, slight imperfections were understandable.

Maks Chmerkovskiy stirs up drama with Jan Ravnik
1 hour 18 minutes ago
Former pro Maks Chmerkovskiy said on the October 24 episode of his wife Peta Murgatroyd’s podcast: The Penthouse with Petathat Jan has “absolutely no reason to be a pro on DWTS“.
He further stated that Jan had “no foundation, technique, quality, understanding of partnership” and that his casting was “absurd”. Despite his criticism, he said he had “zero against” [Jan] let it be” and that it’s “not his fault”.
Jan seemingly responded on her Instagram Stories by posting the lyrics “I’ll be the star of your bad dreams” from Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” her and Jen’s song for the evening.
Jen also showed her support for Jan in an October 27 TikTok video, in which she taps on her phone, imitating the comments left.
“Take it off. Take it off. Take it off. We need it to go away. Take it off. This doesn’t represent me or what we need to do,” Jan then lip-syncs while wearing a K95 mask. The text of the video reads: “Me when someone talks about Jan.”
“We do not tolerate Jan slander in this house!! @Jan Ravnik @Dancing with the Stars #DWTS,” Jen wrote in the caption.
Cheryl Burke prepares for her big comeback
1 hour 18 minutes ago
Two-time Mirrorball champion Cheryl Burke will join Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as a guest judge for Halloween night.
It’s been three years since Cheryl left DWTS, and although she criticized her disappointment over her departure, she told PEOPLE that she can’t wait to be back in the ballroom.
“It’s going to be emotional, but I’m here in a different way this time,” she said. “I’m here for couples, and I really hope I can give constructive criticism, but also be encouraging. And I know what it takes. I’ve been there.”
Cheryl had been part of the competition series for 17 years when she decided to step away in 2022. She previously explained that although the departure was voluntary, she had to “fight” for her farewell performance and “lost friendships along the way”.
She then criticized the show for not inviting her to pay tribute to the late judge Len Goodman for its October 2023 “Most Memorable Year” episode. In April 2024, when asked if she felt like she was still part of the DWTS family, Cheryl replied, “Definitely not.”
Cheryl said she has no regrets for anything she shared.
“That’s my experience,” she said. “Unfortunately, when it comes to headlines, I can’t control that, and we all know that headlines, unfortunately, sometimes focus on negative things. But in the context of what I’ve always said, I’ve always come back to the fact that I’m grateful to have been a part of a show as huge and iconic as Dancing with the stars.”
