Mark Hamill says Carrie Fisher had to remind him of where he came from.
During a recent interview on NPR’s “Fresh Air”, Hamill remembers that Fisher encouraged him to “kiss” his “Star Wars” roots after Hamill omitted the credit of a Broadway Playbill.
“”[Carrie Fisher] came to see a Broadway show, “said Hamill.” And in the playbill, in my biography, I listed all my theater credits and at the end, he said: “He is also known for a series of popular space films”. And she said, “What is the problem? How is it that you do not mention “Star Wars”? And I said: “Well, I want to show that I have a CV which includes extensive theatrical credits.” And she said, “Hey, overcome yourself. You are Luke Skywalker. I am Princess Leia. Kiss her. “”

With Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Fisher and Hamill were the first trio of the original “Star Wars” trilogy. Since its conclusion in 1983, the Epic Space Opera Saga then created one of the most appreciated and precious film franchises in the history of the film.
Although he returns to his time in a far away galaxy, Hamill recently said that he did not intend to return to the role of Luke Skywalker.
