8 people injured in mass fire in a bar in the south of Philadelphia

Philadelphia (WPVI) – Eight people were injured in a mass shooting early Saturday morning in a bar in the south of Philadelphia.
This occurred around 3:50 am outside the bar and the restaurant living room 7 elements on the 1100 block of South 11th Street.
Police said the shots broke out after a physical altercation on an outdoor balcony.
All the victims, including two 25 -year -old women, a 27 -year -old woman, a 28 -year -old man, a 30 -year -old man, a 42 -year -old man and two 43 -year -old men, are hospitalized in a stable state.
Police said two of the victims were security guards.
“I heard out of the population, but I thought it was fireworks. Because it is July 4 and I did not do what was going on, so I did not pay attention,” said Tom O’hara who lives nearby.
“He is a sad man, you don’t want to see this in your neighborhood. I try to go to work and see police cars aligned on cycle paths, I am like what is happening,” said Henry Zhang, who also lives in the neighborhood.
Investigators are now working to understand exactly what was going on when the gunshots broke out.
“This company should not be opened until late, and when we arrived, it was closed, and we had to make sure that there were no other victims inside,” said inspector DF Pace.
It is not yet clear how many people have opened fire.
The police said they had recovered a certain number of shells from the bar on the second floor, the staircase that leads to the street and more shells in the car park below.
Investigators say to Action News that there are more than a dozen surveillance cameras in the shopping place that captured the incident from several angles.
Police also use videos published on social networks as part of their investigation.
“We do not know if these shell sockets came from a pistol that was fired above, or if the shooter or armed men even pulled lower floors,” said Pace.
No arrests were made.
Employees of the Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections (L& I) were also on the scene late Saturday morning.
“This bar worked far beyond the time of legal closing. It is unacceptable. We cannot allow reckless business practices to endanger lives and destabilize the neighborhoods,” said the great member of the Council, Dr. Nina Ahmad, “I applaud the& I for taking rapid measures to approach the zoning and zoning and license violations of the elements. “”
The fair ordered operations for several code violations, including inappropriate smoking permits for the establishment, after hours and play.
“I didn’t even really know that it was a bar up there, but I have always heard it,” said O’hara.
The authorities initially declared that 11 people had been shot dead, but they have since updated the number after realizing that some of the victims were counted twice.
