These are some of our favorite tips to watch YouTube on a TV. Note that each TV and TV TV will vary in terms of buttons and menus, so it is difficult to give specific instructions that work universally, but you should be able to find these features regardless of the television model you have.
1. Add videos to watch later
YouTube usefully configures a reading list later for you that you can store clips that you don’t have time to look right away, but you want to catch up. The reading list synchronizes on all your devices, including televisions.
As you browse the video vignettes on YouTube, press the TV TV button that you would use normally to watch the selected clip, but keep maintain it – you should see a menu appear, with a Save to look later Option on it.
When you watch YouTube on a TV, you get a full screen video, without the extras around it (like a description and comments). To find the comments, press the Select TV remote control button, then scroll to the comments icon, which looks like a small word bubble.
3. Search with your voice
Many modern streaming televisions and peripherals allow you to search with your voice, via a microphone on the remote control: on the home page, scroll to the search zone at the top, then select the micro icon and talk about your search. It is much easier than typeword character by character.
4. Configuration of legends
The legends can be very useful on Youtube, that you try to watch videos without disturbing everyone in the house or understand a film in a foreign language, and the television version of the application gives you a lot of choice with regard to the appearance of these legends.
Watching a video, press select, scroll to the right to select the equipment icon, then choose Legends. You can switch between the available legendary languages and select the font size, the style, color and opacity of your preference, so that they are configured exactly as you wish.
5. See statistics for the Nerds
If you want to see how YouTube works on your TV – including video resolution and network speeds – Select on a video, scroll to the right to select the gear icon, then activate Statistics for Nerds. The panel is also useful for solving problems with the application.

6. Turn off automatically
If you do not want a new suggested video to automatically start to play at the end of the current one, open the YouTube settings (via the equipment icon, in the lower left corner of the main interface), then choose Next Play video and modify the parameter into Disabled.
7. Jump the best songs
This is just for Premium Youtube subscribers: if you pay your $ 14 per month, you have access to a feature called Jump Ahead, which highlights the most commonly visualized parts of a video. In simple terms, it is a way to reach the best pieces of a video faster.
Start scrolling forward through a video (which will usually be done via a right arrow button on a sort of your remote control), and you should see a point on the chronology, showing the start of the most watched section – type the right arrow button again to jump directly.
