7 -layer diving recipe – Love and lemons

Based on my mother’s classic recipe, this 7 -layer dip is a perfect an aperitif or a day of play. Serve with tortilla chips to soak!

7 Tip layers could be my favorite aperitif of all time. If you are not familiar, this delicious dip combines creamy fried beans with bitten avocado, taco spice cream, acidulous cheddar cheese and lots of fresh fixings. It’s like bean beans that meet the Guacamole meets the Pico de Gallo and more. I mean, go – pass the tortilla chips, please!

This classic 7 -layer DIP recipe is based on that of my mother. She did it for each party and bringing together when I grew up, which meant that I spent a lot of these parties and gatherings next to the snack table, stacking a small paper plate with as much 7 -layer diving as possible (seriously, this thing is good!).

I have only made a few changes to its recipe here, mixing a little salsa with fried beans for a more loose texture and a brighter flavor, adding jalapeños for heat and stacking additional fresh trim to balance the creamy layers of the dip. I am obsessed with the results, and I hope you will be too!

7 layer dip ingredients

Here’s what you will need to make this seven -layer diving recipe:

  • Fried beans – Homemade fried beans or use canned beans! I like to make this recipe with fried pinto beans, but fried black beans would also work.
  • Salsa – I generally use a homemade salsa Verde or bought in store in this recipe, but all nature will work. Do not hesitate to use your favorite.
  • Lawyer Advice: Buy them a day or two before doing the dip so that they have time to ripen on your counter. I almost never find a perfectly mature lawyer at the store!
  • Fresh lime juice – He clarifies the layer of lawyer.
  • Sour cream – Greek thick whole Greek yogurt works too!
  • Tacos seasoning – You can use the seasoning of homemade tacos here, but I actually prefer to have bought in store in this recipe! This adds a salty and salty flavor that reminds me of my mother’s dip.
  • Pointed cheddar cheese – Grate the cheese yourself for the best creamy texture and tangy flavor. The anti-fabrication agents of the pre-group cheese give it a drier texture and a softer flavor.
  • And fresh toppings – The diced Roma tomatoes, the trenched green onions, the coriander and the jalapeños take this dive over it.

Optional topping: black olives. Ok, I must be honest with you: I don’t like black olives on the seven -layer dip. My mom has never used them, so for me, they seem moved. That said, many other people love them on a seven -layer dip, so I don’t want to prevent you from trying them! If you wish, sprinkle them on the dip before serving a brackish flavor.

How to make a 7 -layer dip

To make this recipe, you will prepare each layer, then assemble the dip.

I like to use an 8 × 8 inch glass cooking dish for assembly – it allows you to see the layers of the dip, and it is easy to transport for the holidays. Another similar cooking dish would work as well. You can even assemble this drop on a large service platform for a different look!

To prepare the diapers …

  • Mix fried beans with salsa and a little salt.
  • Crush the avocados with the remaining salsa, lime juice, jalapeños, coriander and salt.
  • Mix the sure cream with the Taco seasoning.

Note: The diapers can have a taste too seasoned by themselves. Don’t worry! Once you have combined them, they will create a well -balanced dip.

To assemble the decline …

  • Layer 1: Spread the fried bean mixture at the bottom of your serving dish.
  • Layer 2: Garnish with the avocado mixture.

Addition of chopped tomatoes with a seven -layer dip

  • Layer 5: Garnish minced tomatoes.
  • Layer 6: Garnish with green onions, jalapeños and coriander.
  • Layer 7: I think it is optional! Garnish with black olives, if you wish. 🙂

How to store and do in advance

You can assemble this drop up to 1 day in advance. Cover it closely and keep it in the refrigerator until it is ready to serve. If you do it, I recommend using a cooking dish or another deep container – not a tray – to limit the lawyer’s contact with the air and keep it as green as possible.

The remains remain well, closely covered, in the refrigerator up to 2 days. The layer of avocado will become slightly brown over time, but it should always taste good!
