7 classic villains, we want to see if DC studios and James Gunn suite

The CO-PDG of DC Studios James Gunn has strongly suggested that the next Superman The film will not be a simple sequel, but surely must be arrived. The steel man is worthy of more solo outings and has a large gallery of Rogues bad guys to face.

There are probably more stories to tell with Lex Luthor. However, looking beyond this great familiar villain for a while, the comics offer many opportunities to adapt to the DCU man of tomorrow against all kinds of new and unusual threats.

Some he met on the screen before, of course, but many have not yet been done justice in a way that is satisfied fans (especially since they were relegated to the small screen). Above all, each of these characters would be a next logical step for this franchise after what we have seen Superman… because jumping directly from Doomsday, for example, makes no sense.

You can consult our best choices of bad guys for a possible Superman 2 By clicking on the “Next” buttons https://comicbookmovie.com/ “Show the list” below.

7. Metallo

A superman villain who uses the power of kryptonite, John Corben received a heart made from the deadly remains of the original planet of the steel man to save his life after being fatally injured (a recent version of the character voluntary for the procedure).

Metallo has always used this improvement and cybernetic improvements to take it to Superman when they clashed. Although he is a character who has not yet had the opportunity to shine on a large scene – he is most often used as a henchman – the villain is incredibly powerful and one of the few bad guys capable of pushing Superman at his limit.

Gunn could quite easily make a new turn on Metallo, representing it in a way that is much more interesting (to start, think of the possibilities of horror of the body …) that the robot -type henchmen that we have seen on television in recent years. However, if it is intended to be a little more than a secondary enemy, it could be the next experience of Lex Luthor.

6. Mongul

Its name may not be as recognizable as some of the other bad guys listed here, but do not be mistaken, Mongul is a major threat to both Superman and the biggest ducu. Exiled from the planet he conquered, the villain later threw his goal on earth, and that is what brought him to come with the steel man.

Unfortunately for Superman, Mongul is just as powerful as him, not to mention cunning and ruthless. This has become obvious when he destroyed Coast City (Hal Jordan / Green Lantern’s house), and maybe he stands out as perhaps the most sadistic bad here.

If Gunn wants to oppose the man of tomorrow to a threat to the end of the world, then who better than a big villain who tried once to destroy the sun? He would make a good change in rhythm compared to some of the most recognizable names and would probably be a CG character similar to Thanos.

5. Cyborg Superman

After the apparent death of Superman, four doppelgängers arrived, all claiming to be the real deal. However, the only impostor who managed to deceive everyone was Cyborg Superman.

SECONDE, the disturbed Hank Henshaw, it had been transformed years earlier during a space flight which went wrong and blamed its own mistakes on the steel man, hence the reason why he tried to replace him. It was later revealed that the cyborg had organized the devastating attack on Mongul against Coast City, making him a solid candidate for a secondary villain.

Like many DC Comics characters, it has been reinvented in recent years, and these ideas could also go into play in the DCU. The character would be well suited to a suite, especially if he ends up being the next evolution of the ultraman clone. Alternatively, there is always …

4. Weird

Bizarre-head-cropped-copy

By putting aside the story of bizarre origin of the character (without puns), this superman clone who speaks in opposites has been a major problem for the steel man for decades now. Dealing both as fiercely intelligent and hilarious, any version of Bizarro is a threat to Superman because they obviously share the same powers.

Well, in a way. Bizarro has a vision of gel instead of the vision of heat, for example, but it is able to cause the massive destruction that Superman would never dream of doing. His mind is actually so twisted that he destroyed his house, Bizarro World, on purpose – killing the billions who lived there – simply because the Maison de Krypton de Superman was destroyed by accident.

It is one of those bad guys of apparently wacky comics with which Gunn could do something really memorable. If he intends to review ultraman, then going down the bizarre road when he comes back from this black hole is an attractive perspective, especially if the villain creates his own bizarro world, similar to All-Star Superman.

3. Parasite

A villain with some stories of different origin, the basic premise of the parasite is always the same; It is exposed to strange and radioactive materials and ends up becoming this vampiric monster accordingly. He needs to feed on energy to live, and as he can drain the vital energy of others, which obviously makes the perfect target to help the parasites to continue.

In addition to being a dangerous physical threat, the touch of parasite also means that he scratches memories of his victims, he is therefore one of the little bad guys to have learned the secret identity of Superman. It’s lucky for Clark Kent, so this parasite really cares!

This villain was presented on television more than one opportunity, but we have not yet really seen the raging as the obstacle beast you see above. With a film budget and a new interpretation of Gunn, Parasite could soon rank among the greatest enemies of the emblematic superhero.

2.

Toyman-a

Although it may have initially been presented as a comic character (something that has stuck to him for years), Toyman has since been one of Superman’s most deadly enemies.

Of course, he can spend his time building toys that are more homicidal than Huggable, but Toyman has also set up large mechanical constructions with the type of power that ended up testing even the endurance of the steel man. Completely disturbed, Winslow Schott has also created a number of robotic lookalikes and killed Supergirl once.

We know that Gunn likes to choose fairly obscure characters from the comics and bring them to the screen, but Toyman would be a major challenge to take up. He would need to be revised and redesigned if we have to buy it as a credible threat to Suma, and we would like to see a new turn on him … Especially if Gunn can understand how to make him a denied and twisted threat to the Kryptonian.

1. Brainiac

While Brainiac has sufficiently attacked the heroes of the earth to be considered a villain of justice League, his story with Superman goes back to Krypton. One of the most intelligent beings in the universe, the almost indestructible bad guy collects cities from the planets he destroys, then narrows them to keep his ship.

Superman had to prevent Brainiac from doing the same in the metropolitan area over the years. However, their rivalry has become really personal when the steel man learned that he had the Kandor Khryptonian city in his possession, to lose his house again thanks to this monstrous enemy.

Fans are desperate to see Brainiac on screen, and comics showed us that there are countless ways to remove it. Another threat to the end of the world, we cannot think of anyone better to push Superman to his limits and further establish the man of tomorrow as the biggest hero in the world when he finally saves the day.
