2025 saw the release of three MCU films (Captain America: Brave New World,, Thunderbolts *And The Fantastic Four: First steps) and one of the DCU (Superman).
Overall, it was a great year-alongside the first solo outing of Sam Wilson-even if they all had a hard office in this new era of the so-called superhero fatigue. Along the way, we met many new characters and gathered with several familiar faces.
Unfortunately, not everyone worked. Whether it is arcs of questionable history, bad conceptions or the fact that they did not add much to the stories told, these characters were, in our opinion, the worst seen in the Marvel Studios and DC Studios films of this year.

6. The hawk
We first met Joaquin Torres The Falcon and the Winter SoldierBut the character did not leave a lasting impact. So when he returned Captain America: Brave New World As a new Falcon, it is hardly a surprise that it sparked more than the shoulders of fans than excitement.
Dressed in his comic strip counterpart and deprived of his superpowers inspired by birds, the MCU joaquin is a generic soldier in a flight costume.
The Falcon is shot in combat and hospitalized (which means that he could not give a hand against Red Hulk) felt appropriate, since he was such a useless character. Honestly, nothing we saw here has made us excite for his return Avengers: Doomsday.
5. Baby Joey
This monstrosity CG served a goal in terms of explaining why Metamorpho helps Superman, and Baby Joey exists in comics. However, the design of the version of the character of the DCU is horrible, and really the nightmares are made.
Not helping the questions was an prolonged action sequence, which saw the steel man trying to protect the baby from damage. It featured great visuals, but in a film that was already full of ideas, Baby Joey could have been one too much.
In the end, this is the design that we cannot look at beyond, because it is another example of VFX, product of horrible Warner Bros. (Which we concern will continue to afflict this franchise).
4. Sidewinder
When the news announced that Captain America: Brave New World had added The Mandalorian Star Giancarlo Esposito as a bad mystery, fans were naturally delighted. After all, which is better to play a villain than the Break the bad icon?
Rumors were more exciting than reality in this case, although Sidewinder always has a lot of potential. Alas, this generic mercenary (who directed the just as bland “snakes”) was a discharge, and not a villain that we are impatient to review, despite the rumors of an appearance on a small screen.
Esposito, unfortunately, was simply not so convincing in the role and the snakes were too badly defined to feel as a real threat to Captain America and the wider MCU. What a disappointment.
3. Ghost
While Taskmaster somewhat deserved a place here, his time was so limited, he hardly seems to mention the character we met for the first time Black widow.
As for ghost, the Ant-man and the wasp The villain felt as a completely superfluous addition Thunderbolts *. Her powers were not particularly exciting, and she did not add much to the dynamics of the team. Now it’s a new Avenger, and we couldn’t be less excited.
Thunderbolts * is a competitor for the best superhero film of the year, but Ava Starr contributes very little (and would not be missed, even if she had followed the Taskmaster path). Maybe Ghost can be bought throughout the line. We will see.
2. Mole Man
The Fantastic Four: First steps delivered a vision of Marvel’s first family who finally made the heroes. However, there was an element of the film that looked like an undeniable weak link: mole man.
The scene of the Baxter building was certainly very funny, but Paul Walter Hauser was Really Mark it here (perhaps explaining why other scenes featuring the character were left on the floor of the cutting room).
It was not just Mole Man who was the problem. When we finally visited Subterranea, it was just a cave, and the Moloids were people in mining equipment. There was not a single monster in sight either, a confusing decision, to say the least.
1. Ultraman
Sorry, but as the bad guys go, ultraman was disappointing and apparently only in Superman To give the man of tomorrow someone to strike. Revealed as a superman clone, Ultraman has not lent to lending himself to memorable combat scenes.
Regarding design, he also did not manage to impress either (we cannot prevent ourselves from wondering why Supes never used his vision of X -rays to see who or what was under the mask). If he had been unmasked as a bizarre or parasitic, it would have been rather cool, but ultraman was as generic as Sidewinder.
Fortunately, Lex Luthor has more than compensated for this, but the engineer was also almost on this list. To move forward, James Gunn would benefit from choosing a little more judiciously from his bad guys.
