5 things to know about UVA football before the 2025 season

The quarter of the UVA Chandler Morris: Let’s go, men.
Good job, seven!
Yeah, seven! Yeah, seven!
(laughs)
Yeah, seven!
Good work, good representative.
TAYLOR TANNEBAUM ACC Network: Maybe we will hear “yeah, seven” this season, I don’t know.
Chandler Morris comes to Virginia by northern Texas, he also played a few other stops along the way. Last year, 2024, an exceptional season for the Al-Aac quarter. He is now looking to be a quarter-Arrière All-ECC. The figures tell the story. Nearly 4,000 yards, 31 passing passers -by and a percentage of completion of 63%.
I joked when Chandler Morris went here. I said: “Long without seeing.” Because a week ago, we were just in Charlotte at the start of the ACC. But you were in a suit and you bind at the time. You are now in your jersey and your pads. What does the first fall camp here in Virginia look like? And you know, this is the last trip for you.
Morris: Yes, just a ton of excitement. I mean, come back here with the guys, get on the ground. I mean, we had a great summer and training and uh just excited to put the pads and let the ball fly.
Mark Richt of the ACC network: Highland Park High School, same school as Matthew Stafford. You have probably beat all of his records, I bet.
Morris: Uh no, I have one of his records, I suppose.
Richt: However, you won a state championship, right?
Morris: I did it.
Richt: Quite awesome. Hey, very quickly. Your father’s decision to suspend his career. Tell us a bit about that.
Morris: What was that? I’m sorry.
Richt: Your father’s decision to suspend his career.
Morris: I mean, he just wanted to come and look at me. In a way, he had a little fomo uh last year. Um to have to follow my mother. So, uh, it’s just that he is just excited to go out and watch me play.
Richt: It’s pretty great.
Eddie Royal of the ACC network: Tell me for you, you have been in the quarter fights of your entire university career. Now you come here the undisputed leader, undeniable number one. How does it feel?
Morris: Yeah, I mean every day, I mean, it’s just the same approach. I mean, I try to go there and compete every day. Uh, prove that I am the best in the field and, uh, really, so it’s just no different as a state of mind.
Tannebaum: I want to talk to you before letting you go. I want some nuggets on some of your receivers because you have a truly deep reception core. So I will give you superlatives. You have to distribute them for me. Who is the guy of the hands? The guy with the best hands. And I know they would probably argue, but from your point of view.
Morris: I’m going to Jaeltal Head.
Tannenbaum: All right. The biggest UPS. Who has rabbits?
Morris: Trell Harris.
Tannenbaum: All right. The fastest guy. It’s for the debate. I already know. Who is it?
Morris: Cam Ross.
Tannenbaum: Okay, you said that with confidence. Very confidently. Best thunderstorm.
Morris: It could be Suderian.
Tannenbaum: Okay, he distributes it to everyone. All right. Whoever asks for the most ball in a group.
Morris: Trell Harris.
Tannenbaum: Very well, that’s it. Some superlatives that we are trying to know this large reception court. We are so happy to have you in the AC, Chandler. Good luck the rest of the fall camp. Survive there and we will see you on August 30.
Morris: Thank you all.
