5 foods that you should never cook in an air fryer – avoid uneven cuisine and fatty disorder

Air Fryers is now so popular, their sales are even used by economists when they try to determine inflation. Not only do they promise faster cooking, lighter results and an easier way to prepare meals without drowning everything in oil, but they are affordable and compact. The best air fryers today even blur the line between fryers, mini oven, the possibility of managing roasting, cooking, heating and more from your counter.
However, although there are many foods, including a multitude of surprising foods that you can cook in an air fryer, they are far from magic. Push them too far and you will end up with uneven (and even raw or dangerous) cuisine), disgusting textures or smoked and disorderly disasters.
As an occasionally too zealous air fryer user, I learned that there were things you should not do when using an air fryer. I also learned that there are things that you should not even cook in one – no matter the number of “hacks” that these so -called influencers Tiktok publish to convince us the opposite.
To save both your dinner and your device, here are five foods that do not belong to your air basket.
1. Frozen remains
Many air fryers are now delivered with a dedicated “Frozen” button, and they are perfect for fries, nuggets or breaded snacks directly from the freezer, working in the same way as an ordinary oven would do it. But that does not mean that all frozen foods belong to the basket. Dense blocks such as the remains of lasagna, pots or family pies can be a problem.
