Erika Kirk supports JD Vance for president in 2028

Erika Kirk publicly endorsed JD Vance for the 2028 presidential election during her speech at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference.

The widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and new CEO of TPUSA voiced her support during her onstage remarks at the conference Thursday evening, where she hailed the vice president as her late husband’s “friend.”

“We invest in states and not just in races,” she said of her organization’s political projects. “So what I mean by that, we’re building the red wall. Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire – that’s going to be very important to us. We’re going to make sure that President Trump has a Congress for all four years.”

However, the most notable part of his decree was his shout-out to Vance. “We’re going to elect my husband’s friend JD Vance for 48 years,” she added, “in the most resounding way possible.”

Although Vance has not officially announced his intention to run for president in 2028, he is the presumptive successor to President Donald Trump in the GOP. (However, Trump has made occasional comments about finding ways to make a third run for president possible.)

Still, Kirk’s support for Vance isn’t necessarily surprising, given that she has spoken favorably of the vice president on several occasions since her husband’s fatal shooting in September.

In the fall, Kirk called Vance a “blessing” following the death of her husband. “He and Usha [Vance]they are the most incredible people. Amazing. With such genuine love,” she told Fox News’ Jesse Watters at the time. “I mean, everything they did for us was so humanized. They were just there for us. They have been there for us. »

Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while speaking publicly at Utah Valley University in September. He is survived by his aforementioned wife and their two children.
