49ers Wr Quintez Cephus, Cut RB Israel Abanikanda

The 49ers of San Francisco signed the Large Quintez Cephus receiver on Thursday at one year and gave up the Ballon bearer Israel Abanikanda.
Cephus, 27, was a choice of Detroit fifth round in the draft of the NFL 2020 and appeared for the last time in a match with the Lions in 2022. The League suspended it for the 2023 season to have bet on the NFL matches.
CEPHUS captured 37 assists for 568 yards and four affected in 22 games (six departures) for Detroit from 2020-2022. After being reinstated by the League in April 2024, he spent time with the Buffalo Bills, the Texans of Houston and the Rams of Los Angeles.
The 49ers needed another wide range after Jacob Cowing underwent a hamstring injury during Wednesday training.
Abanikanda, 22, was a fifth round choice by New York Jets in 2023. He rushed 22 times for 70 yards and caught seven passes for 43 yards in six games with the jets in 2023. The 49ers claimed it in December 2024.
