Donald Trump gushes to “ fair ” Bret after the interview with Fox News Kamala Harris

Donald Trump congratulated the political anchor of Fox News leader, Bret Baier, for an “excellent work” in his interview with the 2024 Democrat, the presidential hope Kamala Harris on Wednesday evening, saying that Baier had “shown how much Kamala is completely incompetent” while demanding a cognitive capacity test.
Trump joined his campaign to call the interview a total disaster for Harris. During the interview, Harris and Baier engaged in several back and forth; At one point, on the subject of immigration, Harris applauded Baier as he interrupted him: “Can I finish answering you?”
Immediately after the interview is broadcast, the campaign – in particular the Stephen Miller and Steven Cheung advisers – relied at X to describe Harris’s responses.
“Episode IV: Team Biden is backing up. The Obama Sh – T team from the bed and now the Biden team feels embraced after this sinking of an interview with Kamala,” wrote Cheung.
Miller, on the other hand, compared Harris’s interview with the sinking of the Titanic.
Trump followed on Wednesday evening, going to Truth Social after an appearance with a group of Latin voters undecided in a town hall organized by Indivision Nottias.
“Excellent work by Bret Baier in his interview with Lyin ‘Kamala Harris,” wrote the former president.
Trump then said that Harris was suffering from a “massive and irremediable case of Trump’s disturbance syndrome”, boasting that she spent most of her time talking about him.
“So badly, in fact, that she is barely capable of talking about a subject other than the man who had the best economy of all time, the strongest border in history, and who has just received the unanimous approval of the American border patrol, me!”
After a few additional words on Harris and how she is the “worst vice-president of history” and which “we hope soon to disappear”, Trump then pivoted to congratulate Baier again.
“Congratulations to Bret Baier for a difficult but very fair interview, which has clearly shown how much Kamala is completely incompetent. For the good of our nation, its lower cognitive capacity must be tested at the same time!”
The Harris campaign clearly did not agree. Addressing Reuters, the spokesperson for the Harris campaign, Brian Fallon, said that they were convinced: “We certainly realized what we decided to do, in the sense that she was able to reach an audience that was probably not exposed to the arguments she made on the track, and she was also able to show her hardness to stand against a hostile interviewer.”
Fallon added: “I think there are a good number of freelancers, and Haley style republicans, who are very open to vote for VP Harris and that is why we are open to events with the Republicans on Fox News.”
Baier, for his part, defended his aggressive style of question on Fox on Wednesday evening, saying that he could immediately say that Harris “was going to be difficult to redirect without me trying to interrupt”. He added that Harris went late to the interview.
In an interview with the conservative personality Mark Levin, Baier developed, saying: “There was a little frustration” and that “I had so much to reach.
“I hoped that it would be a civilian back and forth, but it was good for her to come and I think she should do more, but I was just trying to cross the points of discussion and it took some time, and it was a bit, you know, to interrupt and in a way, entering the breath.”
“They wanted a viral moment,” said Baier, repeating how his initial time would have been cut by the Harris campaign and that Harris was late.
“I was really hoping that it was going to go as I considered it, which looked more like a conversation on subjects. We could say: “You have differences, that’s where I am”, I would support but respectful. And I did a lot of these interviews where it is really fruitful to have a sense of return and you get a place, and you actually learn something about politics and where they are. Essentially, it is a practice for a debate and therefore I must be able to get my questions as much as possible in a respectful but difficult way and hope that it will come back when it is in a different and talkative mood and we learn more. “”
