3 Virginia sheriff deputies who were injured in firms when performing a search warrant are ok

Gretna, Virginie – Three deputies of the sheriff injured in shooting during the execution of mandates in southern Virginia were “shaken” but managing well, officials announced on Wednesday.
The mandates were to brandish a firearm and an intrusion, said the Sheriff of the County Pittsylvania, Michael W. Taylor. They also served a protection order, he said.
There was an hour -long confrontation, but it ended peacefully and with the alleged detention shooter, Taylor told journalists afterwards.
“All three are fine. Of course, they are shaken. And they are going through the process now trying to heal,” said Taylor, adding: “They are ok.”
The officers all seem to have been injured by bursts of buses and none was directly affected, said Taylor.
Sheriff asked the Virginia state police to investigate the shooting. Sgt. Rick Garletts, spokesperson for Virginia’s state police, said agents are likely to be overnight.
“We are very happy that there are no more injuries this evening. It could have been much worse than it did,” said Garletts. “I am happy that he was abandoned and that he was out.”
The photos and videos of the scene showed a large number of police and emergency intervention vehicles stationed.
The American representative John McGuire, who represents the 5th district of the Virginia Congress, had previously declared in an article on X that his thoughts and his prayers were with the deputies and their families.
“We closely follow the situation and keep everyone affected in our hearts during this difficult period,” wrote McGuire.
The county of Pittsylvania is located along the southern border of the State with the North Carolina, about 98 miles (158 kilometers) northwest of Raleigh, in North Carolina.
