Bridgton, Maine – A shelter prescription on site issued Sunday morning for residents of the Bridgon region was lifted shortly before 9 am.

Bridgon police chief Phil Jones told the Maine news center that their agency, as well as the order forces of the Sheriff’s Bureau of Cumberland County, responded to a report of a shot fired in a wooded area off Kansas Road.

The authorities searched the area with deployed drones but found no threats.

Jones said he received a good response from the public after having made the order of the refuge on the spot. The chief said that the order was originally intended for a smaller radius, but he ended up stretching further.

The chief said people can resume their activities on Sunday morning because there is no current threat to the public.
