3 tornadoes confirmed through Michigan in the severe weather event at the end of the evening

Detroit – Three tornadoes approached south-eastern Michigan early Thursday morning while a powerful line of thunderstorms swept the region, according to the Damage surveys of the National Weather Service.
The strongest of the three tornadoes, evaluated EF-1 with 90 MPH cutting-edge winds, struck near Gregory (Livingston County), causing significant damage to several agricultural buildings. Two weaker EF-0 tornadoes were confirmed near St. Charles (County of Saginaw) and the Canton of Atlas (county of Genesee).
The most destructive tornado sculpted a 1.6 mile path between Stockbridge and Gregory just after midnight. The Twister EF-1 damaged three barns at Hickory Ridge Dairy Farm and broke many hardwood trees before going to a descent south of Grégoire which has produced widespread trees with winds up to 75 mi / h, according to NWS information.
St. Charles Tornado, ranked EF-0 with 85 mph peak winds, tackled at 12:05 p.m. HAE near Dempsey Road and Walnut Street. The tornado a quarter of a mile wide has uprooted many trees and has caused minor structural damage while it followed the northeast on 1.6 mile, crossing the park of coal miners before dissipating, according to information from NWS.
A third tornado, also noted EF-0, developed near Atlas at 12:35 p.m. Hae. This compact tornado, measuring 100 meters wide, damaged both soft trees and hard woods along its path of 1.2 mile before getting north of Goodrich, according to information from NWS.
Despite the intensity of the storms, fortunately, no injury or death was reported in one of the three tornadoes. Primary damage consisted in:
-
Uprooted and shear trees
-
Damaged buildings and barns
-
Minor structural damage to houses
-
Large members of slaughtered trees
Storms were part of a larger system that produced widespread wind damage in southeast Michigan during the night of May 15 to 16.
