3 players Angel Reese’s sky can target after the Bringing feat of Courtney Vandersloot. Chennedy Carter

Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky Lost Saturday’s match against Indiana fever, 79-52. But their defeat against an Indiana team without cantlin Clark was not the worst thing that happened that night. Halfway through the game, custody veteran Courtney Vandersloot left the ground with an injury. On Sunday, Mris confirmed that Vandersloot had torn her LCA and will miss the rest of the season.
An LCA tear is a terrible news for any athlete, and suffering one at the age of Vandersloot (36) is even worse. It had been solid for the sky, with an average of 10.6 points, 5.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds, while pulling 43.9%. Courtney Vandersloot was in no way the best player in Chicago, but his creation of games and his tenacity in defense will be sorely miss.
The start of Chicago to this season was far from ideal because the team has lost five of its first seven games. With Vandersloot on the sidelines, things could quickly go from bad to worse. However, there are many free quality agents on the market that could help the team improve.
Let’s take a look at three players that Angel Reese’s sky can target after the tear of the ACL of Courtney Vandersloot.
3 players The sky of Angel Reese can target after the injury of Courtney Vandersloot
1) Chennedy Carter
Chennedy Carter comes out of a stellar season with the Chicago sky in 2024. However, it was not surprisingly extended for another year. In 2024, Carter made 33 appearances for Chicago, with an average of 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
She is a versatile marker and a solid playmaker who could easily enter the shoes of Courtney Vandersloot. However, its out -of -field problems could make it an unattractive option for the sky. Indeed, the team already deals with sufficient animosity due to fans that target Angel Reese.
2) Haley Jones
Atlanta’s dream selected Haley Jones with the 6th choice in total to the recovery of the WNBA 2023. Unfortunately, Jones had no impact in the league, with an average of 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds for his career. Far from her last year at university, when she recorded 13.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
Jones has the skills necessary to facilitate Chicago players and is also a tenacious defender, making it a solid rescue guard. However, it has not widely proven itself in the league and may not have another chance of doing it.
3) McDonald
Aari McDonald has signed a difficulty contract with Indiana fever after losing Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson to injuries. She entered the team as one of their only guards and held up, recording 9.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 interceptions.
So far, she has been stellar in defense and has done well to raise her teammates. With the return of Clark and Cunningham on the horizon, McDonald will probably be a free agent soon. It could be in the best interest of Angel Reese and Co. to closely monitor his situation.
