3 films not to be missed on Prime Video from October 13 to 17

Instead of endless scrolling Prime Videos library while you wait for something to come out, here are three great movies you should watch on the streamer. One of the best things about Prime’s wide range of titles is that there truly is something for everyone. From comedy to horror to documentaries, they are very well stocked.

This seemingly bottomless chasm of options, however, can lead to intense decision paralysis. There’s nothing worse than starting something and being flustered for ten minutes, feeling like you made the wrong choice. This list is meant to curb that indecision with three bone-chilling horror bangers (hey, that East October) to an all-star mystery comedy.

Nosferatu (2024)

Lily Rose Depp looks scared in Nosferatu.

Since Robert Eggers’ first film, The witchhe has proven time and time again that he is a master of modern horror. The last Nosfer was a favorite project of its director, and it’s a visually sumptuous and deeply frightening vampire film with an incredible cast. Bill Skarsgård does a transformative job in the title role, but this is very much Lily-Rose Depp’s show.

Nosfer his co-star Willem Dafoe previously played Count Orlok and his interpreter Max Schreck in the 2000 horror film Shadow of the Vampire.

Nosfer is also the happy medium between Eggers’ more arthouse sensibilities (think The lighthouse) and a cooler that will please everyone. The fact that Eggers took a story that has been told many times (it’s essentially Draculaafter all), but still manages to make it feel fresh and innovative.

Creed (2015)

THE Rocky the cinematographic saga seems to end with the years 2006 Rocky Balboawhere Sylvester Stallone’s boxer came out of retirement for one last fight. No one expected a spin-off about Apollo’s Son Creed to happen, and they certainly I didn’t expect it to be a heartbreaking, Oscar-nominated gem. who is among the best in the franchise.

The film cemented Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan as two rising stars in the industry, with Coogler fusing a touching underdog story with incredible boxing sequences. Both sequels are good films in their own right, but almost a decade later, Creed remains a near-perfect engine for a sports drama.

Knives Out (2019)

With the third installment arriving in November 2025, it’s the perfect time to revisit the film that started it all. At loggerheads is a return to the mysteries of the all-star films of yesteryearwith director Rian Johnson surrounding his eccentric lead detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) with an incredible ensemble, including Ana de Armas, Christopher Plummer and Chris Evans.

Johnson manages to create both a truly compelling mystery and a deliciously biting comedy, where the quarrelsome family that Blanc investigates is a veritable den of vipers. There is a reason At loggerheads was universally acclaimed upon its arrival in 2019 and begs to be revisited on Prime.
