2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland will be held from September 17 to 19 while the tournament celebrates the edition of the centenary | News Golf

The Ryder Cup 2027 in Adare Manor in the County of Limerick, Ireland, will take place from September 17 to 19 while the Biennal tournament celebrates its edition of the centennial.

The tournament was organized for the first time in Massachusetts in 1927 when Team USA beat part of Great Britain 9.5-2.5 and that the event at Adare Manor will be the 46th Ryder Cup.

It will be the second time that Ireland will have organized competition, which has done so in 2006 when a European team has been captain by Ian Woosnam beat the United States 18.5-9.5 at the K Kildare County club.

Europe is the current Ryder Cup holders after the victory in Rome in 2023.

They will seek to win on American soil for the first time since 2012, when the 2025 edition will be held in Bethpage Black in New York from September 26 to 28 of this year, live Sky Sports.

Speaking on the Ryder Cup 2027, Guy Kinnings, the director general of the European Tour group, said: “The official announcement of the dates is still an important step in the trip of the Ryder Cup for a country and a place.

“Rory McILroy’s victory in the Masters last month to finish the Grand Chelem in a career, combined with the anticipation of the July open championship [at Royal Portrush] has already reinforced the buzz around the golf course on the island of Ireland.

“This announcement will add to this excitement while Ireland continues to organize the largest golf team competition.”

The course of Adare Manor, which is located along the shores of the Maiigue river and was largely renovated in 2017, welcomed the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008, with Padraig Harrington and Richard Finch respectively winning these tournaments.

Adare Manor also organized the JP McManus Pro-Am in 2005, 2010 and 2022.
