2026 RB Jonathan Brown engages in Michigan

Michigan added a new piece to its recruitment class in 2026 with the Sunday morning commitment of Jonathan Brown, a prospect of Saint-François de Columbus, Ohio.

Recruitment can sometimes be a long process, and sometimes it can move quickly, like Brown with Michigan.

Brown announced its decision just after midnight, capping a rapid recruitment following an exceptional performance at the campus of Michigan earlier this month.

The 6 -foot 1 inch back, 200 pounds won the MVP honors during the event and turned heads with its sports tests, including a 4.55 -second dashboard of 40 yards, a 40 -inch vertical jump, 10 feet wide and a shuttle of 4.1 seconds. Fort demonstration camp helped consolidate the interest of Michigan and finally led to its commitment.

Michigan coaches also had the opportunity to see him at Sound Mind Sound Body Showcase earlier this summer.

While Brown has a modest list of offers that includes rutgers and military academies, the Air Force and the Army, its stock has climbed.

Brown rushed for 1,295 yards and 16 affected as a junior last season, winning honorable mention of all the conferences and all the states while playing baseball.

Brown is also a secondary teammate of RJ Day, son of the head coach of the Ohio State Ryan Day.
