2026 move your eyes to the former defender

Tottenham already thinks of possible transfers for 2026, despite the closure of the transfer window. And an area that it is planned to send is the depth of the defense.
During the summer, Tottenham signed the central defenders Kota Takai and Kevin Dano, who was loaned during the second half of last season. Curiously, there was no added back-back depth, despite Thomas Frank having only Pedro Porro, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogy as realistic options for the two positions.
Spence can cover the two sides, but it is more natural on the right. As such, there is a range for a left back to add, and Tottenham aligned a familiar face.
Tottenham exploring the move for Dennis Cirkin
According to football initiate, Pete O’Rourke confirmed that Tottenham is considering a movement for the left back of Sunderland, Dennis Cirkin. The 23 -year -old had covered the ranks of northern London before leaving in 2021.
“It’s a bit of a surprise link this one too, with Cirkin from Sunderland. He went through the ranks of Tottenham before leaving to Sunderland and making a name for himself. He is a good player, there is no distance from that, but that he is a regular starter if Tottenham had to move for him, I am not too sure.
“He would give a boost to their local quota, and they had some problems with this local quota for their team of the Champions League this year. Thus, the agreement could be logical if they wanted to increase it to increase this. And it would certainly provide a coverage for the left back if Tottenham had to take a step for him.”
Cirkin has not yet appeared to Sunderland this season when he will make sure of an injury. Tottenham could keep an eye on his performance when he returns to action, and if he impresses, this would increase the probability of a move.
