2025 Ryder Cup Live Updates: results, scores, ranking, marking like the United States, Europe is fighting day 1

Farmingdale, NY – The ceremonial, the training rounds, the prognostic and performative gestures were officially placed in the back vision window early Friday when the Ryder Cup 2025 began with Bethpage Black with Europe jumping on an advance – and somewhat surprising – 3-1. The United States is trying to find the trophy and prevent Europe from becoming the first team to win a road Ryder Cup in 13 years. While the Americans entered the event as a favorite Slim, the chances were overthrown with standing Europe as a -165 favorite to keep the trophy and -110 favorite to win.
The Americans were decimated in the quartet with their three best pairs on Friday, all falling to Europeans for the first time in the United States in the history of the Ryder Cup. Bryson Dechambeau and Justin Thomas won the opening hole, sending the crowd of Long Island to a frenzy, so as not to capture another before the end of the match on the 15th. In fact, through the three games that Europe won, they completely dominated, claiming 18 holes against four for the United States. The devastation is so serious that the American captain Keegan Bradley has no choice but to make important changes to his strategy for Friday with four balls and perhaps the rest of the Ryder Cup.
Scottie Scheffler, world n ° 1, directs the American effort, while the Golfers that CBS Sports have a classified power 2-4 in the field, all come from Europe: Rory McILroy, Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood. The United States may be a little deeper from top to bottom, but its list of 12 men also includes four recruits compared to a single adaptation to Europe.
A four-ball action (best ball) will be played in the afternoon with different pairs chosen by Bradley and European captain Luke Donald, there will therefore be a lot of golf course to follow the evening.
