CBS, ABC, CNN and National Geographic are among the best winners of the night, one of the 2,2025 News & Documentary Emmy Awards on Wednesday.
ABC World News tonight with David Muir won the Exceptional live news program for the third consecutive year, while CNN The whole story with Anderson Cooper won an exceptional registered information program for the second consecutive year.
Collectively, CBS has won the most Emmys for the night with five, including 60 minutes Win three of these awards. ABC, CNN and National Geographic followed with four prizes each, and The New York Times won three.
Al Roker, longtime NBC Today Weather’s anchor, and Jon Else, a documentary filmmaker, have already been used to receive success for life during the 46th News & Documentary Emmy Awards. Bryant Gumbel awarded Roker for its price on Wednesday.

Their commitment establishes a high bar for future generations of journalists and documentaries,” said Adam Sharp, president and chief executive officer of Nata, in a statement. “We are particularly happy to recognize the contributions of Al Roker and our winners of the Gold & Silver Circle 2025.”
The winners of the Gold Circle this year include Marc Burstein and Martha Teichner, and the Silver Circle winners include Akram Abi-Hanna, Cater Lee, Bill Owens and Deborah Roberts.
The prizes, awarded by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, presented recognized winners on Wednesday evening in the categories of news. The winners will be announced in the documentary categories at a ceremony Thursday at the Palladium Times Square in New York.
Wednesday evening presenters included Jason Bellini (Scripps), Morgan Chesky (NBC News), Katie Kingsbury (The New York Times), Leila Molana-Alline (PBS Newshour), Rhana Natour (Al Jazeera), Abby Phillip (CNN), Deborah Roberts (ABC News).
