Oscar Piastri’s advance in the title of F1 pilots went from 16 points to 13 after finishing third in the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagne.
Max Verstappen won a fourth consecutive victory to Imola to close on the Australian, although Lando Norris remains second in the standings after finishing behind the Dutchman.
Only 22 points separate the first three, while George Russell in fourth fell 47 points to the drift of Piastri.
McLaren remains in total control of the manufacturers’ classification and now has an advance of 132 points on Mercedes.
