Omaha, Neb. (Wowt) – Omaha police and fire rescue responded to a fatal accident of two vehicles on Friday on Pacific Street near Highway 680.
Two people, an adult and a child, were declared dead on the scene.
Shortly after the accident, reported around 12:15 p.m. Friday, OPD told First Alert 6 that two people died after the accident.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident: a van and a small black SUV. The driver was the only occupant of the truck; According to police, seven people were in the SUV.
OPD confirmed that five people had been sent to the children’s hospital, Chi-Bergan Mercy and Nebraska Medicine.
Currently, we do not know what caused the accident, he said. Police are still investigating who had the grip.
The authorities blocked traffic in both directions through the bridge over the I-680. The traffic in the direction has been closed at 114th Street.
Pacific Street reopened around 4 p.m.
