What we don’t know:
Authorities have not released information about the number of people on board.
Local perspective:
FOX 4 spoke with neighbors and business owners who have seen the aftermath.
Theresa Brown was at home just across the street when she heard a loud boom and ran outside.
She grabbed her phone and started recording as people ran toward the fire to try to help her.
“I hope it was quick. I mean… these poor people, I don’t know what else to say,” Brown said.
“We’ve seen fires up close, but it was them. I think there’s about 14 fire trucks here, and it took them forever to get hooked up. And it’s like you just didn’t think there was going to be enough water. Seriously, that’s how bad it looked.”
Brown began to run away after hearing more booms coming from the crash.
“Why? Because there have been, we can’t do anything when it’s this serious. We’re wasting our time running over it,” she said.
“We hear a total of four booms. Then they come running back, because it’s like there’s nothing you can do. You know no one survived this.
You are deeper:
Hady Aghili was the owner of Five Points Business Park when he received a call he didn’t expect.
“They were telling me there was a little plane crash on our property. And I thought the beginning of it was a joke. I was watching a Cowboys game, but, you know, he texted me first and then he called me and said, Hey, you know, I’m serious, go over there.”
He quickly went to his company and waited. Eventually, he realized that the flames had missed his business by a few meters.
“I mean, I wished the best. I hoped, number one, that you didn’t want to have any casualties. And number two, you know, I mean, loss of property can always be replaced, but not lives.”
