12 Live-Action Star Wars Shows We Need to See After Ahsoka Season 2

With Ahsoka Season 2 is expected to release next year in 2026, Lucasfilm has yet to confirm what comes next in the galaxy far, far away regarding Star Wars on the small screen. The story of The Mandalorian continues in theaters with The Mandalorian and Groguwhile other series like Andor And The Acolyte are either concluded or canceled.
Following Ahsoka season 2, what will be the future of Star Wars What is live TV like? Fortunately, there are several interesting possibilities. Whether it’s second seasons, revisiting classic characters or exploring corners of the official canon that we’ve only glimpsed, here are 12. Star Wars we think Lucasfilm needs to do live-action shows after Ahsoka season 2.
The Book of Boba Fett Season 2
The Book of Boba Fett Season 1 may have ended with the former bounty hunter claiming Mos Espa of Tatooine as his new daimyo, but continuing to rule could lead to its own set of new trials. A second season could easily explore Fett expanding his operations, while also giving the series and character some much-needed redemption after a fairly controversial first season.
Actor Temuera Morrison deserves the chance to show more of Boba’s growth and evolution beyond his current status as a crime lord, reprising what made fans love the former bounty hunter in the first place.
The Skeleton Crew season 2
Inspired by Amblin Entertainment films from the 80s, Skeleton crew was an incredibly fun story set in the era of the New Republic. Jude Law’s Force-sensitive pirate captain was an absolutely fascinating character, as was the crew of children seeking adventure among the stars.
As such, a second season could easily deepen the Amblin-style adventure with all-new explorations in the galaxy far, far away.
Squad of Thieves
Originally planned as a film directed by Patty Jenkins, it has recently been rumored that the film, still in development, Squad of Thieves could be retooled as a series on Disney+. With this in mind, a more serialized television format could arguably highlight the individual characters more, while also showing the daily lives of the pilots flying for the New Republic.
Having been sold as Top Gun encounter Star Warsit would be exciting to see this story finally told, regardless of format.
The Hunt for Ben Solo
In the same spirit, perhaps that of Adam Driver Finding Ben Solo the film’s pitch, which Disney rejected, could be reworked as a miniseries event, especially now that the Star Wars fandom knows of its existence and has been mobilizing for its revival ever since.
Seemingly covering elements of Ben Solo’s redemption that Driver said were unexplored in the sequels, it would be fascinating to see Ben’s story continue after The Rise of Skywalker (because there are several ways Star Wars could easily explain Ben Solo’s survival).
The Hidden Path (Quinlan Vos)
2022 Obi-Wan Kenobi The series launched Hidden Path, a secret network saving Force-sensitives and their families during the dark times of the Empire’s rule.
Since then, the Path has been featured in both EA releases Jedi: Survivor and in the animated series Tales from the underworld. Confirmed to be led by Order 66 survivor Quinlan Vos, it would be fascinating to see a live-action series centered around one of the Jedi Order’s most dynamic members.
A Hidden path the show could easily blend Andor’s grounded realism with Jedi mysticism, delivering one of the most incredible Star Wars shows again.
Darth Vader
Actor Hayden Christensen returning for both Obi-Wan Kenobi And Ahsokait was argued that there was room for a Darth Vader series set in the years between Revenge of the Sith And A new hope. This could follow Vader hunting Jedi survivors, bringing down insurgents, and/or struggling to bury the remains of the life he lived as Anakin Skywalker.
Even though it was only a limited series adapting stories from the 2017 canon Darth Vader comic book set in the same era, a series directed by Hayden Christensen Darth Vader the show would end Star Wars the minds of the fans.
Jedi – Cal Kestis
After two beloved Star Wars video games, Order 66 survivor Cal Kestis more than deserves his live-action moment.
Cameron Monaghan already plays the character perfectly, making him a Jedi: Cal Kestis series is a no-brainer, especially if EA’s recent purchase by a major private equity firm potentially puts the third game in jeopardy. If a third game doesn’t happen, Lucasfilm should absolutely pivot with a live-action series picking up after the events of Jedi: Survivor.
General Grievous
A General Grievous the prequel series should definitely be equal parts body horror and tragedy. It could explore his transformation from warrior Kaleesh to a mechanical monster, and how Count Dooku manipulated his rage, turning him into a deadly Jedi-killing droid general for the Separatists during the Clone Wars.
Seeing General Grievous’ organic past, his cybernetic reconstruction as Darth Vader’s predecessor, and the toll of his obsession on screen would make for a surprisingly moving villain origin story, while also allowing fans to see the popular villain in live-action once again.
Knights of the Old Republic
The Old Republic era (set thousands of years before the prequels) remains Star Wars’ the richest unexplored era of the official canon. For example, the A KOTOR series could finally adapt the story of Revan and Malak, two Jedi who fell into darkness and reshaped the galaxy into Sith Lords, before Revan himself was eventually brought back to the light.
Without a doubt, this could be the Game of Thrones-level Star Wars fans of the saga have been desperately asking for it for years.
Dark Lords of the Sith (The Stranger/Plagueis)
Even though The Acolyte was canceled, several Star Wars fans have expressed interest in some sort of Dark Lords of the Sith spin-off show this could delve into the canonical journey of Darth Plagueis and his quest for immortality. The show could also include a deeper dive into the enigmatic story of Manny Jacinto’s Qimir, aka The Stranger.
A Dark Lords of the Sith The series could also explore Qimir’s past and how he seemingly abandoned the teachings of the Jedi and Sith. Teasing of Qimir being the first “Ren” was also recently confirmed, suggesting that he may have founded the Dark Side Warriors, which would be incredible to see confirmed in canon itself.
