10 Questions with Navy Quarterback Blake Horvath

Navy senior quarterback Blake Horvath recently chatted with PressBox about his favorite movie, the place he’s never visited and much more. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback threw for 980 yards, ran for 640 yards and had 15 touchdowns as part of the Mids’ 6-0 start. Horvath is a native of Hilliard, Ohio, and a graduate of Hilliard Darby High School.
Press Box: If you could trade places with any movie or TV character, who would it be?
Blake Horvath: I’ll say Po from “Kung Fu Panda”.
BP: What is your favorite movie?
BH: I really like “Prestige”. The most recent movie I watched, I really like “F1”.
BP: What TV show have you watched recently?
BH: “Severance” and I’m rewatching “Modern Family.”
BP: Are you a good cook? What is the best dish you prepare?
BH: I think I am. I think my girlfriend and my parents would say no. I make a really good garlic cream sauce and steak pasta.
BP: What is your favorite activity on a day off?
BH: I love watching movies or playing pickleball.
BP: Do you have a hidden talent?
BH: It’s weird. I’m good at throwing food into other people’s mouths, like M&Ms.
BP: What is your favorite karaoke song?
BH: Probably “Party in the United States”
BP: What’s the favorite place you’ve ever been?
BH: I would say Rome.
BP: What’s your favorite Conference USA road trip?
BH: I really enjoyed Birmingham last year.
BP: What book have you read recently?
BH: The one I just finished reading was “The Wisdom of the Bullfrog” by Admiral McRaven. …They called him the “Bullfrog” – the oldest active Navy SEAL in a very long time. These are just his leadership lessons, what he learned in his life.
