Oddities in My Hero Academia are an integral part of each person’s identity, shaping both young heroes in training and professionals on the battlefield. However, some abilities carry an inherent sense of danger, with the potential to create devastation in society if used without restraint or moral guidance.
If these heroes became villains in My Hero Academiatheir whims would easily turn them into nightmares capable of destabilizing entire societies. Many would consider heroes lucky that these ten characters aspire to become heroes or are already working for the greater good. Otherwise, the series could have taken a much more abrupt turn.
Camie Utsushima (Glamour)
Camie Utsushima’s Glamor allows her to manipulate perception, making her appear like someone else or altering how others view her surroundings. This ability to distort reality may not be physically powerful, but it could be extremely destabilizing. It could easily create distrust among members of society, leading to total chaos.
As a villain, Camie could become a weapon of mass manipulation rather than direct violence. With Glamour, she can orchestrate political and societal upheaval, incite riots, or sabotage missions without anyone knowing she was there, causing mass doubt, anxiety, and fear.
Midnight (Sleepwalker)
The Midnight Sleepwalker allows him to release a soporific aroma that incapacitates anyone nearby, putting them to sleep. Although she generally uses her quirk to overpower her enemies during missions, her range and power make her exceptionally dangerous if she were more of a villain. Crowds, security forces, and any heroes who get too close could lose consciousness in moments.
Thanks to her quirk, she could easily steal, manipulate, and prevent anyone from defending themselves against her without being prepared. The Midnight Sleepwalker could easily turn her into a silent, deadly threat that has the advantage in almost any surprise scenario.
Katsuki Bakugo (Explosion)
Bakugo’s Explosion quirk generates powerful bursts of sweat, allowing him to propel himself through the air at high speeds or completely demolish his surroundings. Although he is celebrated for his effectiveness in combat, his destructive potential, coupled with his natural talent, would make him a terrifying villain to face.
With Explosion, he could reduce his surroundings to rubble, leaving chaos and destruction in his wake. As a character known for his intensity and aggression, if he were a villain he would likely become unpredictable and deadly, turning every confrontation into a high-stakes disaster for anyone involved or unlucky enough to be nearby.
Fumikage Tokoyami (Black Shadow)
Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow is a sentient shadow entity that becomes stronger in darkness and weaker in light. Although he is usually restrained by his own discipline, the ferocity of his quirk makes him a potential nightmare in villainous hands. If Dark Shadow is released unchecked, it could tear apart opponents with overwhelming force and consume anyone caught in dark areas.
Even though Tokoyami and Dark Shadow don’t pose much of a threat during the day, nights could be rife with terror, causing widespread societal fear when the sun sets. Equipped with a powerful sentient quirk that grows stronger in the dark, Tokoyami would become a terrifying villain capable of dealing immense damage.
Endeavor (Hellflame)
Endeavor’s Hellflame allows him to generate and manipulate fire that can reach temperatures capable of incinerating almost anything. As he channels his power into heroism and presents himself as the number two and then the next number one hero, a villainous Endeavor could set entire cities ablaze and cause mass devastation.
Beyond the raw destruction, it could cause widespread panic and intimidation by its mere presence, thus making it capable of terrorizing populations. If he were a villain, his quirk would easily be one of the most dangerous and destructive, making him a symbol of fear.
Mirio Togata (Permeation)
Mirio’s Permeation quirk allows him to pass through matter, making him nearly untouchable and able to pass through walls, floors, and defenses with ease. His whims, in the wrong hands, could bypass high-end security systems like prisons or fortified locations and allow him to commit assassinations, theft or sabotage.
Permeation also makes him incredibly difficult to counter, as his opponents would not easily be able to predict his movements and conventional attacks are largely ineffective. If Mirio were a villain, his quirk would make him elusive, dangerous, and scary to encounter.
Momo Yaoyorozu (Creation)
Momo Yaoyorozu’s Creation quirk allows her to produce any non-living object from her body, limited only by her understanding of its molecular structure. Although she often uses her Quirk as tactical support, its versatility makes it impressive, useful, and potentially dangerous. If she were a villain, she could use her quirk to create anything from weapons to armor to sabotage tools.
In the extreme, she could even create devices capable of mass destruction, and with her intelligence, virtually nothing would be out of the question. An evil Momo could equip armies, create traps or cause disasters, making her a formidable and terrifying threat.
Hitoshi Shinso (Brainwashed)
Hitoshi Shinso’s brainwashing allows him to control anyone who responds to him verbally, overriding their will and turning them into obedient tools. In a villainous context, his power could extend well beyond combat, giving him the ability to manipulate heroes and civilians alike.
With Brainwashing, Shinso could potentially get anyone to do his dirty work with a simple command, allowing him to orchestrate events from the shadows. He could cause chaos and turn his allies against each other without lifting a finger, making him a dangerous, threatening and formidable opponent.
Thirteen (black hole)
Thirteen’s black hole quirk allows him to create black holes from his fingertips that absorb everything in its path, collapsing matter and energy into a void. In the wrong hands, the consequences of her quirk are catastrophic as she could easily dismantle entire buildings or sections of land without warning.
The danger of her whim would be greater if she were unbridled and blind. As a hero, Thirteen is controlled, but as a villain, she could easily become one of the most gruesome and disastrous villains in the series that many heroes would fight against.
All could (one for all)
All Might’s One For All quirk grants him immense physical power, speed, and durability, making him nearly unstoppable in combat and allowing him to become the number one hero. However, if he were a villain, he could easily impose his will on entire cities or even countries, demolishing buildings on a catastrophic scale, and causing mass panic.
Due to his raw power, All Might could also inflict psychological torment on audiences and heroes alike. With his power, he could exert control on an unprecedented scale. My Hero Academia.
