1 dead after the explosion of the house at the lake view

A house in Hamburg exploded, caught fire on Monday evening.
Hamburg, NY – A house explosion in Lake View on Monday evening has now been confirmed as fatal.
One person died and another was taken to ECMC.
According to Hamburg police captain John Baker, a house exploded on West Lane’s Bloc 5800 on Monday at 8:49 p.m.
Police described the scene as a “catastrophic explosion”.
“I can tell you that that’s all I would describe it as a catastrophic explosion patrol arrived at the scene,” said Captain Baker.
When WGRZ arrived at the scene, the debris could be seen on several yards.
The explosion also launched a second house for fire, and the crews took several hours to master this.
“It is essentially a house that is no longer there,” said the captain. Said Baker. “It is a dangerous situation, many to cross and manage.”
Several people have described the explosion as a train crashing into the neighborhood.
“I was watching television, and it was just a huge explosion, like the fireworks Times 30,” said Mike Jacobs.
Jacobs lives next to the house that exploded and the second house that caught fire.
“The dishes came out of the closet, then I just heard shouting and I went out,” said Jacobs. “There were debris all over the street.”
The County County Medical Examination Office arrived on West Lane just after 12:15 p.m. Tuesday morning and withdrew a body from the scene.
Another victim has been transported to the ECMC, according to the police, and their condition is unknown at the moment.
At least a Hamburg police officer and a Lake View firefighter were also transported for minors
Several fire services have arrived at the scene and recovery efforts are underway, including the assistance of the K-9 and the New York State police.
Dozens of national fuel crews also responded to the scene and unearthed several meters to access Gas hands on West Lane. Other crews walked in the neighborhood with portable meters to check gas leaks or high CO levels.
Crews including county resources and state fires are still on the scene to help the investigation.
The officials did not say what caused the explosion at the time, but the emergency staff will remain on the scene during the night to investigate.
